Offer not converting after 20K imps

Hi,

I'm quite a newbie to the CPA marketing, however I've worked with several affiliate programs before (promoting adult games and cams).

Recently I've started working with MaxBounty network. What I tried to do was quite simple: buy some traffic on ExoClick, and send it to the Adult dating offer from MaxBounty. I bought popunder traffic on Exoclick with the lowest bid, and sent it to the following LP (provided by the advertiser):

I had around 20,000 impressions, and no conversion at all. I'm getting impressions from the network (I've got a tracking solution installed), and they are also tracked by the MaxBounty. Am I missing something? I'd kindly appreciate if you enlight me on this. Thanks.

Go read some guides on newbie stuff..

If it was as simple as popping a direct linked offer 20,000 times and walking away with $$$ we would all be sipping cocktails in the Bahamas now.

Uhm, dude I did

First of all - I'm sending a traffic to a special landing page. I can't see anything wrong with that. Second: I've been succesfully promoting some adult games, sending traffic to simila LPs provided by an advertiser - and even had some profits. In this case things should be easier - a user should just register for free.

I mean, I'm not a pro but all, but well - would you specify what's wrong here? I can't see anything wrong with sending traffic to a landing page provided by an advertiser. Can you? Thnx.

With adult dating offers, you have to use your own LP. Pop --> your LP --> Advert LP. You have to give the visitor a reason to fill in his personal information. Won't make it work without a presell page. Do some spying and see what others are doing. Aside from that, with EXO pops, if you are doing RON, 30% of the traffic will be junk, and that's being nice.. Now you are left with 70% ... add in competition, advertisers running directly with higher margins, affiliates with higher payouts, etc.. slice of the pie gets diminished quickly. I would suggest running in a geo that's less competitive. Running adult dating offers these days requires you to have a competitive edge. Days of throwing up an offer and profiting off the bat are pretty much over.

bizfreak22: great reply, thanks. I'm a total n00b in offer promoting, but the network manager confirmed that it's totally OK to send pops directly to the offer LP. OK, so a custom made LP is mandatory. Thanks for that.

For Exo - my plans are to go RON with further blacklisting junk traffic. Thanks for the geo advice. Something like Tier2 or Tier3, correct?

it's perfectly ok to send traffic to the advertisers landing page / offer page but don't expect it to convert.

that's what I said above, we could all pop an offer direct linked but you may as well burn your money.

adult users have seen it all, you need a lander and an angle to grab their curiosity.

read some of the guides on the forum on angles before wasting any more of your money

OK, I'm now testing Polish (Poland) traffic on this offer:

It has a shitty payout, but who cares - I'm hungry for conversions. A conversion takes place on the 4th step of this LP. I'll direct paid traffic to my own LP with "YES/NO" questions (3 steps). Guess it's a working model, but I want to know about targeting. Someone on this forum told me that it's stupid to run RON when you're testing an offer.

I decided (Exoclick is the only traffic source I'm currently using) to run popunders on Premium section of Exoclick sources. I'm targeting desktop Polish traffic on several (3-5 sources) like anyporn.com, dojki.com, etc. Willing to spend 3-4x payout to see what's going on. What would you say, guys? Anything wrong, or I'm ready to go, and just need to make a test? Thank A LLLOT!

Well, I sent 3K impressions from 20 premium Exoclick sources to my landing. 45% of them completed 3 steps, and were sent to the advertiser's LP. So, it's 1400 clicks and 0 conversions. Depressed. Will try playing with anothet landing tomorrow.

I think the best way to learn in adult is to spy. Look around and see what everyone else is doing. Like the others said, you’ll find pretty much everyone has their own landing pages.

Look at what offers seem to be working in the country you’re interested in, rip a bunch of landing pages and give them your own twist.

Spy tools are your best friend.

Thanks Ruby, that's what I'm doing. BTW http://adultspytool.com is the only tool I'm currently using. Are there any free or cheap alternatives?

I've grabbed someone's landing page, slightly modified it, and currently using. Unfortunately adulspytool didn't find anyone promoting my offer, but that's not a problem I guess.
