So where do I start?
I started this company to provide hosting to friends who owned ddl sites. These were sites who linked to warez and they tried to sell subscriptions to a certain site which paid them per lead.
This was like 10 years ago. Afterwards people who had warez traffic moved onto selling usenet subscriptions or simply they found an advertiser who doesn't care about the traffic and just pays you per install, yaay let's spread malware.
A few years later it was all about bot traffic, if you had a server where you could install scrapebox and xrumer and it didn't went down after the first blast you banked because bot traffic also brings instant results but the advertisers don't like that and most people got banned.
Nowadays running a bittorrent site is still profitable if you can get some traffic to it. Those pages are full of hey you won the lottery ads but they pay 1 cent so that's money and with a couple of link exchanges you will get traffic.
