how long does it take to get traffic?

I just wanted to test if my campaign is setup correctly. I'm bidding at 4x suggested cpm and I'm not getting any impression. Is it possible if my campaign or ad set is setup wrong? The ad set is in active right now. Any in sights? thanks

If you target too tightly.. You might not see much. My campaigns that target 500k+ always traffic .. Within 5 minutes of upload

First of all make sure your ads are actually approved by the traffic source and aren't under review. If that's not the case then check how much traffic the target GEO carries and don't implement any targeting parameters. Additionally, if conversion is not a factor you can run it in multiple GEOs since this is bound to deliver traffic.

Thanks snacks. Its not in review, since I gotten the email saying it was approved. But the strange thing is that I'm bidding very high and not even one impression. My targeted audience is considered broad and maybe like the 200ks.

I heard from a friend sometimes it takes 2 days to get traffic. Is that the usual wait?

Two days is a little too long, I suggest that you get in contact with an account representative at the given traffic source.

Facebook has reps for small personal accounts?

No, not in the case of Facebook.

For outbound (Click To Website) ads, it can take anywhere from 2 hours to ~36 hours for the ad to start spending. 2 weeks ago, most of my ads took over 24 hours to start spending, whereas this week most started spending within 4 hours...

Thanks. 36 hours is nuts

200k is not broad targeting! If it was 20 million I'd call that broad. You have a very targeted audience...

Sometimes I have to wait 4-5 hrs for my ads to start deliver traffic but nothing like 36hrs, that's crazy!

One thing you can try doing which I used to do and worked: Keep submitting more and more ad sets with a bunch of ads in them every hour or so. Do this until your account starts spending! Gotta keep a close eye on it, treat it like a baby. Once it's up and running it'll be on autopilot.

Thanks fbqueen. Since its quite a new account. Should gradually increase spending? Do I need to warm it up? Don't want to get ban. What's a good rule of thumb in terms of amount spend initially to warm up the account?
