Anyone here selling their own products using eCommerce?

Hey guys,

Been a member for a day but been reading flat out. I am slightly confused not going to lie! I have a website at the moment that focuses on the rugby niche. It's a large and untapped niche in my opinion as its very closely related to health and fitness but everyone seems to target bodybuilding/crossfit. anyways....

I have a blog which was built first. content to bring in traffic then i got affiliate banners to make some money. I don't make much maybe £100 a month. Now I have a ecommerce store using woocommerce and i sell my own stuff. Rugby fashion gym clothing I kinda think of it as. Clothing that is unique, fits good, targets rugby players who also love the gym and can be worn casually.

My question is, do I focus my fb ads and stuff to my own stuff or should i give the affiliate another go? So i could set up campaigns using my affiliates now to get them to a landing page I could make on my domain (I assume everyone has a domain for landing pages etc) then that landing page all for that conversion of traffic to a sale but then my worry is I will be taking away from my apparel.

To be honest i need more revenue than just apparel sales for now as growth is main concern so I need to get cash built up to keep the designs coming and advertising flowing. Should i focus some affilate fb banners on the rugby/nutrition niche and try and get bank from that?

I'm sorry for such a newbie question but I do wonder if anyone here has their own domains they try and cash in on with their own products in the long run instead of making a % of someone elses sale.

Ofcourse. Setting up your own products is the way to go in my opinion. Much more ROI in the long run obviously.

I have a few ecomm sites and I have had a coder set it all up for me. Theres a ton of scripts out there and I just had him customize it for my own liking. I would never use Shopify or any 3rd party service like that. You just dont have any control and flexibility that way as opposed to you hosting it all.
