Google not passing {keyword}? Any ideas?

I'm running into an issue with Adwords...

The variable I use in destination url to have Google replace with the keyword that triggered my ad is {keyword}, right?

It's not passing anything at all.

You need to use:

{keyword:default text}

make sure you have the colon and some default keyword or it won't work.

and take care if you are just entering 1000 keywords without review...
you might have something like www.domain.com as a kw and the owner might not like that (but his lawyer sure does).

thanks - I'm confused though - so, it goes like sitename.com/tracking/source=Google&kw={keyword:defaulttext} ??

Are we talking about the same thing? Doesn't make any sense that google would make me put a keyword in there since I want them to pass the keyword that triggered my ad... confused.

@movingshadow - thanks for the tip

It looks like you guys thought I meant dynamic keyword insertion for headlines... I'm talking about for tracking clicks... I need to pass the keyword to my tracking system.... http://adwords.google.com/support/aw...&answer=178482

{keyword} is not working. Google's just leaving it blank!

No, that should work for the destination URL

Using the Keyword Insertion Code

To use keyword insertion, insert the following code at any point in your ad text, including in the display URL or destination URL:

{keyword:default text}
When your ad appears on a search result page, the code will be replaced by the keyword that triggered the ad. If the keyword is too long, and would cause the ad text to exceed its character limit, the ad's default text will be used instead.

If you're running on Google Display then G doesn't usually pass the keyword that triggered the ad (annoying but allegedly they can't be sure which keyword triggered your advert).

If you're running on search however then yes, you've got a problem

Yes, I'm running on Search and it's leaving it blank.. But only on some of my links in a certain format... For some reason all my cpvlab links have the keyword in them no problem... Weird..
