(Copy, Paste & Profit) ==> A Totally New Approach to Finding Money-Making Offers
THE IDEA: find an offer that is successful on DisplayAds (banners), but neglected anywhere else. Copy and paste the idea and run it on mobile like this:
The problem: There are about 100k new (!) banners launched every day.
It’s virtually impossible to find those offers ….how should you? You don’t know the advertiser’s URL. Searching manually would be an impossible quest.
A new way: We’ve added a new feature whereby you can
search DisplayAds (banners) by KEYWORD. I believe it’s the world’s first. It’s a technically complicated process!
Go easy on us … it’s not working perfectly yet!
Let’s search for “
weight loss” as a keyword (keyword in this sense means, that weight loss is written as a text in the image):
Loseit.com is a winner. But I prefer the “gabrielmethod”:
-it has a catchy angel “
DIET FREE WEIGHT LOSS”
-the banner is awesome! No wonder it has been that successful.
I quickly verify that they have an affiliate program …success!
Now I want to see IF they run ads other than DisplayAds on desktop:
-DisplayAds mobile with browser? No.
-InAppAds? No.
-FacebookAds? No.
-AdultAds? No
Ok, now we can start our plan of attack. I highly doubt that Facebook would allow a similar image. Adults? Hmm...But mobile apps! An animated banner like this could get a high CTR:
Networks such as AdMob probably won’t run it, but I’m sure some would accept it.
Of course, we need to create a mobile friendly landing page.
Lots of success!

Our algorithm takes number of days seem + number of times seen as an estimate for the CTR.
It's still an estimate, of course. The closest we could find though.

Exactly KK! image recognition or OCR (Optical Character Recognition) run on Elastic Search.

doesn't equal CTR though. there's a ton of branded campaigns that do shit, with shit CTR but they have the budget to run it everywhere

Agreed. But it's still the best way to estimate the CTR.

So have you any stats you can share/backup on these case studies? How did they perform for you?
Or is just hypothetical ideas for subtle marketing of your product, and other users can waste their dollars testing it?
Sorry if that sounds down on you. But I like to see at least a little substance to a theory.
