Maiden Campaign - Mobile

Finally launching my 1st mobile campaign and testing my angles. Following the Appertizer guide, I launch the campaign.

Offer: UC Browser Indonesia
Payout: 0.32
Smart CPM bid: 0.9 (SITE)
SMART CPM bid: 0.6(Mobile)

Angle:
Fast Internet.

This is the result after running for 2 days:

Size:	12.5 KB

1st day after seeing no so much wins, I upped the bid to 0.9(SITE) and 0.6(Mobile). Got more wins and clicks but no conversion yet.
2nd day, I blacklist some app and site according to the Decisive STM Blacklist.

Decided to run for a while and upped the bid to 0.9 for all to get more clicks.

What should I start to look and optimize?

Using a lander?

03-07-2015 12:02 PM #4 htosto (Member)

Hi @marketone, I just use simple banner. I am thinking of killing the wifi site and wifi apps. got click but no conversion

Use a generic lander. Run traffic then decide to cut. I see this a lot with new aff's. Not all and honestly not many offers convert with out a lander. I run landers on all my offers. Generic at first unless I know the vertical. Then I still optimize other things before I kill the traffic. Unless I just know the metrics before I run. Then I can cut it based on previous experience.

Thank you for the advice. Still quite blind on the figures.
But started to know what banners attracts, I think I will go through the basic how to setup lander and tracker again. Just curious and wanna get the ball going.

Desperately have to succeed in AM. My business is not doing well and baby is coming.

hi ,

I ran the same offer through decisive, to be honest I am not impressed with their traffic at all, I have tried multiple offers there without any success. Ran the same offer you are on a different traffic source and hit 20 conversions, to by 0 on Decisive. Whilst I appreciate that a campaign will never be like for like on a traffic source I would have at least expected a conversion.

I am thinking that maybe banner blindness has a part to play, my hunch is that if I choose a country such as Cuba/Argentina/Chile it might be possible to get some conversions.

Ya. I got quite some clicks but conversion rate is pretty low. Is zeropark a good traffic source?

03-09-2015 02:58 PM #9 htosto (Member)

Arrrgh. The offer is closed by the advertiser. Ok lets move on to the next one and start better.
Next run must with
1. better angle
2. with landing page.
3. praying for better conversion.

haha good luck, in terms of CTRs and clicks, yes I get them with Decisive, but for whatever reason no conversions at the end. testing testing ....

Hi all,
if the offers require creative approval, for ex. F5Media offers. Do we submit our creatives via add creatives and what should we enter in the link? a url to lander or what?
Thank you all.

At least Decisive is noob friendly and let us learn more about marketing

Hi all, I have setup my Voluum for testing lp. Charles Ngo guide http://charlesngo.com/voluum-campaign-setup/#postback and video guide from Zeno is impressive http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ll-Video-Guide.

I am doing app install and using LP. In the LP action button I link it the click URL that voluum provide. I preview my campaign and click on the action button to test.
From my setup and test I did have click on my Affiliate network. But the action did not bring me to anywhere. It remains in the Landing page. My button is like this.

<p style="text-align: center">
<a href="http://4csjk.voluumtrk.com/click"><input class="btn" type="submit" value="Download Gratis SEKARANG"></a>
</p>

Anything that I done wrong?

Thank you all.

That code won't work, I'm afraid.

There are two ways to make a button act as a link. The first way is to set it up as part of a form, and make the form's action the link you want to go to.

For example:

Code:
<form action="http://4csjk.voluumtrk.com/click">
    <input type="submit" value="Download Gratis SEKARANG">
</form>
The second way is to style the link to look like a button. You can use this tool to do that - http://css3buttongenerator.com/

Hope that helps!

Hi Caurmen,

Thank you for your reply. I did try to do another lp and change the link to http://www.google.com and it works. It did manage to redirects user to google.com. Is it possible because this is apps install tat is why doesn't redirect to google playstore? I checked on volumn and f5media. I did have the clicks recorded in the F5Media.

With lander, the click to the offer page is really low. I need to improve further on my lander.
On the second day I change it back to direct linking.

At the end of 2nd day, I turn off the traffic to analyze futher.

Any help guys, any idea how to improve my lander?

too much text. Make it shorter for easy read.

03-23-2015 04:44 AM #18 htosto (Member)

thank you. Ya I modified landers again. and meanwhile pausing the offer to see any other improvement to do.

You have to use a better landing page.
Use css and a better image, that button is ugly change it.

Hey Hartono - Going to be following this and see where I can help. So far, the advice given here is solid!

03-25-2015 02:10 AM #21 htosto (Member)

Hi gianishere, ya at the moment i am using direct linking. Thank you the advice. Initially I was thinking the css button will burden the lp performance.

03-25-2015 03:40 AM #22 htosto (Member)

ok. so i cut the apus traffic to Indonesia. And sending traffic to Malaysia, running it for two days now, CTR is 2.18% but only conversion is still too low. Wanna try other traffic source to see the quality of the traffic.

04-09-2015 09:31 AM #23 htosto (Member)

hi all, how do we track cost in Voluum using decisize as traffic source?

04-16-2015 07:09 PM #24 infotainer (Member)

Decisive doesn't pass the cost in tokens so you have to guess your cpc or cpa. Ex. Start with .01 cpc. Once you have enough data you can adjust it. And once you have a stable campaign it is easier to predict.
