avazu mdsp - anyone finding success?

Hi,
i've spent about 1k on avazu dsp, but difficulty finding success. No session depth targeting or even spend distribution makes it difficult to work with. Anyone else have experience with avazu mdsp and want to compare notes?

You mean they don't let you set a frequency cap when displaying your banners?

Yeah I know what you mean about spend distribution. It is very hard not to get a few apps eating your entire budget.

I've had a good amount of success on their DSP. Don't ever bid on flat CPM with their platform. Use their optimized toward a CPA goal bidding. I blew through about $500 of just wasted budget, once I switched to the CPA optimized, it really started to take off and my ROI was some of the best I've gotten on mobile DSPs.

They have the ability to frequency cap by device/IP. That was more than enough settings there.. Are you sure your offer is good (i.e. converting elsewhere?) If not it's likely it's the offer as I've spend a few $1K and had some good success in the last month or two..

You kept the same offer + creatives and changed the bidding only ? Or leaving the CPM bids to the system allowed you to focus on other things and therefore get positive ROI?

hey guys,
thanks alot for the feedback. yeah i was bidding flat cpm. Will definitely try the optimized bidding.
yeah offer is good, doing 100% roi on another mdsp.

Nothing changed, just adjusted the bidding ONLY and voila, 150% ROI.

Did you set your eCPA goal to under your offer payout from the start?

I spent about $50k on avazu dsp but it is hard to make it profitable...you really gotta optimize the fuck out of this dsp.
I mainly promote PIN submit offers so my payout is a bit higher but still..for example in the UAE geo I had ecpa;s of $140..my offer payout is $4...needless to say that sucks.
And there is no pacing capability for your campaigns so 1 single app can really eat up your entire budget within 1 hour and leave you with nothing but non converting traffic.
But in Q2 they will get that function my ad rep told me.

They got great scale.
I am gonna try the ECPA goal as well.
