Wrw - wtf

So I've been thinking something is wrong with WRW lately. Lack of data etc. Right now... I can prove it.

Somebody tell me, how can there be no results... at all?

Er, yes, that is somewhat surprising...

Not sure what's going on there - anyone?

They were having problems with exporting yesterday so i'm guessing they are having issues all around.

I mailed them yesterday evening... still no response.

They are usually so quick to respond.

Hello all,

I'm not sure why we didn't see this thread before. As far as I am aware all issues have been solved here, but if there are any outstanding please feel free to send me a private message.

Best,

Max

Hey Max

As far as I know Jordan gave me a work around. It did not work for me at the time and I've paused subscription in the mean time. I'll give it some time to work itself out

EDIT: Sorry - just noticed this is an old thread from March! Please ignore

Seems to be back to normal now:

Hey guys,

We were not aware of any issue here. We're now looking into it and will have an update as soon as there is something to share. Our data is the most important thing to us, and we of course want to provide it to you in the best way possible.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hello all a very quick update:

Right now MSN is testing a few new formats- a lot of different ad units and unconventional styles. A lot of properties have been testing different things. We will get on top of adding these new units. We are exploring these units and working to add them into our system ASAP.

We are still digging in deeper though. I will get back with another update as soon as I have one.

Best,

Max

Hey everyone. We dug into this last night. Here is the following explanation of what you are seeing from one of our founders (and my partner). Please note, clicking any of the embedded images brings up a full size screen shot:

" Hey.

This is Mike. I'm a co-founder at WRW, and spend most of my time in "the tech of things". I'd like to take this opportunity to explain something interesting with Bing that's resulting in some of your problems. The summary is: Bing is arbitraging a lot of it's weight loss traffic through to search campaigns.

On a lot of Bing properties, they're running a newish type of ad unit

This is replacing a lot of the traditional bing content network text ads. Clicking on one of those ads will take you to a page like this

Looks kind of sketchy right? It is. Those are search ads

They're being served from http://searchads.msn.net/. Bing's chasing those higher CPC's pretty hard. We've also seen a lot of formerling Bing CN ads falling to Native ads in recent days - Disqus, Content.ad and the like.

So within Bing we're showing a little bit less in terms of data, largely because there *is* is less data. We're going to try and tweak our search algorithm a little bit to compensate and bring back less significant (but relevant) results so you can still get your data though. We're also going to have some discussions internally about how to handle a 2-stage ad like the ones Bing seems to be embracing for higher CPC keywords.

Hope this clears some things up."

I am happy to answer any questions here or clear any other questions up.

Thanks,

Max
