I wonder if somebody has experience using bulk Whatsapp messages as traffic source to CPA campaigns. How would it compare to SMS Marketing or other similar sources?

I am not sure how legal would that be tbh. I remember companies getting huge fines for SMS spamming in the past.
It's being done. Right now. Some guys are promoting casino offers using whatsapp bulk messages.
From my reconnaissance, I noticed on a lot of facebook groups, people were openly commenting their phone numbers to be added to whatsapp groups. sometimes it could be for a wholesale buyers whatsapp group, sometimes jobs. The comments can reach as much as 200-300. All phone numbers
A few times, i even copied the exact status that generated that much response. Word for Word. And I reposted it right above the original one.
I guess they didnt even noticed that it was the same as I had plenty of people commenting on my status next, leaving their phone numbers.

I was also surprised to see how easily people would share their whatsapp numbers. I have started collecting them from a SEO website to send people updates (pretty much like a newsletter), so there is some opt-in involved. My initial idea is to send some links to CPA offers among the updates and see how they convert, but I expect there are other things to explore
Seen a few threads on BHW on this, it's definately being done! Whatsapp wallpaper offers come to mind... Or adult dating/video offers. Never used WhatsApp myself, is your actual phone number = your WhatsApp number? Or is there a specific unique WhatsApp number you get when you register?
