Hi Everyone!
I have just launched my first campaign and I thought I'd share it with you in an attempt to pick your brains
SETUP:
Offer: Jamster Flappy Bird -UK pin submit
Network: F5media
Ad Network: Decisive
Carriers: Orange - O2 -Vodafone - T-Mobile
Targeting: Sites
I launched the campaign yesterday with two set of banners, and two angles.
What I've done so far except from refreshing my data like a monkey on drugs was cutting obviously bad placements (some were giving me 60% CTR and pumping half the spend).
Here are screenshots of what's happening so far:
campaign #1

Campaign #2

This is what my f5media dashboard is showing:

Day One:
Spend: 9,94$
Made: 0$
ROI: I'm sure you can figure it out
Edit: I am direct linking!
hey, I launched some (unsuccessful) campaigns on Decisive, but I'm getting less and less unsucessful.
My advice is to cut this straight away and change angle or offer.
What's the payout for this? Also a Pin Submit with Flappy Bird doesn't sound ideal to me.
@tim roth, thanks for the answer!
The payout is 8$.
F5media told me the jamster offers had been getting .3$ EPC, so I figured other affiliates were having success with it.
Can you please xplain why you think I should cut it off already? So I can learn something along the way
the payout is $8, it's too early to say cut it - have you tried using a prelander?
@howard
yes it's definately too early to cut.
I'd spend at least 40$ on it,. Optimize along the way.
From the first data can you see what's your generale CPC and for each campaign?
@tim
My CPC is hovering around 0.04 -0.05$ for apps campaigns, and is 0.01$ for sites (but I figure I'm still getting bot traffic).
Total spend is 14$, so I'm going to up my bid and let it run for another 24 hours before cutting more placements.
@glennstacks I haven't created a prelander, though I'm working on it (stepping my coding game up).
I'll try sticking prelanders in whithin the two next days. The lander for the offer is pretty pro IMO, so I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what I could add to it.
F5media is reporting over 120 clicks total, so the click loss is absolutely huge :/
I ran this a little while back and it converted pretty well.
You really need to spend more on the data and maybe cut down on the number of ads you have running.
I see that you're targeting site traffic only... why not app traffic?
@londoner
Yes, I'm starting to be aware data will cost me quite some money, so I've doubled my daily spend and set my bid to .51$
I cloned both my campaigns for apps instead of websites, I just forgot to mention it in the first post
If I may ask, what do you mean by "cutting down on ads number" ? Do you mean already killing the worst performing banners?
Thank you for your answer!
Ok so here goes day two!
Spend: 19.64$
Made: 0$
ROI: -100%
So I've went ahead and killed the campaigns. I'm going to start a follow along in the next couple of days following the appetiser and do things the right way, instead of jumping right in with high payout offers!
Sorry for the short follow-along, but you can expect a new one very soon!
Monies: Not acquired this time
