Why can't networks categorise their offers properly?

Anyone else wonder why CPA networks cant seem to get their offers categorised properly?

All the networks I use are completely disorganised in the way they categorise their offers.

For example:.

So for example if I am looking for a Brazil dating offer, and I set the filters to 'dating' and 'Brazil' nothing (or very little) comes up. But if I just search in the search box for "BR" I find a shit load of offers for Brazil. however I then have to pick thorugh which ones are dating offers.

Its a fucking headache and it makes alot more work for the AM's as they have to help find the offers.

Any ideas what causes this? There must be a simple fix eg to hire a $5 per hour data input guy in the Phillipines.

Whats the point in having all these advanced filtering options if none are used?

Weak operations teams and communication disconnect between biz dev and operations teams cause this to happen. I think a lot of this goes back to "speed is everything"-mentality without really having a structure in place on how to categorize offers/verticals.

But then again depending on the network platform I find that some search functions are just really bad too, especially if you use multiple search criteria as you described.

On our legacy platform things were a little tricky but all you had to do was search for everything, there were not any dropdowns so if you diddnt know what to search for you wouldnt find it.

Ever since we released 2.0 to the public things have been magical. The backend of the tracking platform plays a big role here along with laziness.

It sounds like the network your using as an example is including the the Country in the title of the offer (US,UK,GB,BR) but did not mark it for BR on the backend. A solid platform would automatically place the country in the title depending on what countries have been marked thus preventing the above situation.

As far as the wrong offer in the wrong category, accidents happen but if its happening on a large scale many would agree that is being quite sloppy.
