S2S integration with Inmobi?
Inmobi is asking me to connect their engineers with my tracking team. I don't understand why because all I wanted was their tracking tokens/variables and they asked why the tracker is not integrated with them and I told them it wasn't integrated because it was a 3rd party tracker. Therefore all I needed was their tracking tokens.
This is the reply I got:
S2S integration is needed in order to enable postback.
This is the mandatory process from our side, so if you want to run a campaign with postback enabled, please connect us with the tracker engineer who can work with us for integration.
I've faced similar cases many times, so I know what will happen when it's not integrated.
Inaccurate tracking or record loss is inevitable.
To sum up, the first thing to do is S2S integration between the tracker you use and InMobi ad server.
We have an experienced engineer team who's specialized on this, so once you connect us with the tracker team, we will be able to provide the support you need.
I'm alittle confused, maybe because I'm new? I have run campaigns on 3 networks now and all I need was the tracking tokens to use in the tracking link to get integrated properly.
Why are they asking this and how can I reply to this email?

They are full of shit.
All you need to do is to use the $IMP_ID token and then use it in their post-back
in your URL: &c1=$IMP_ID
And post 3rd-Party Server Postback URL
http://ma.inmobi.com/downloads/tracking?impid=[[c1]]&goal=download
That's all you need to do. set it up and then tell them its done and they can test it

thanks deondup, the korean office said they would give me the site ids to blacklist bad pubs so that is why i asked for their tokens. I have no idea why they are being so complicated?

You need to spend X,XXX amount before they allow you to pass site ID's - at least that's the way it used to be.
Just deposit $2k and tell them you need to pass site ID's
Either way, implement that postback above

only $2k? maybe i should talk to someone else at inmobi, the korean office said $5k but they said i didn't have to do that and they would enable it anyways then i asked for the tokens and this response came up about the S2S integration.
