Does Having A Relevant Domain Increase Conversions?

So does the domain url of my landing page affect conversions at all?

For example, if I'm running an antivirus offer for android phones, would it be better that I have a domain name like www.android-system-alert.com?

Or does it not make a difference when it comes to conversions?

Wondering if I should buy and use vertical specific domains, or if using my blog or agency website domain would be fine..

depends on the niche and where your running....on adwords I think it helps especially if one of your main keywords is in the URL...but its not gonna make or break the camp thats for sure...

Usually any domain related performance increases are small at best....

One way to make a "catch-all" domain is just reg a short domain like com-blah.com then subdomain it to your liking...

reallycoolapps.com-blah.com etc...of course you'd prob what to replace the "blah" with something more interesting

It can only help conversions, and as the value of the product/service you are pitching increases, the domain name can start matter a lot.

An affiliate domain called www.5t7ads-online-affiliate.info that is selling mutual funds will look suspiciously like a phishing site to most educated people.

Depends what source / niche you run.

I have split tested this a lot for pop traffic in the past and the difference between a relevant and non - relevant domain was very minimal.
