First Mobile Campaign Launched! 100% Dedicated to Achive FREEDOM!

Hi Everyone,

Just joined STM about a week ago and i had been reading a lot of Success Stories, Follow Alongs and of course " The Mobile Cookbook: Appetiser " Anyway here goes my stuff..

Traffic source: Decisive
Vertical: Utility Apps
Offer: DU Speed Booster
Geos: UK

Note: The offer was initially for Brazil Geo but the network pause it and redirect the traffic to international. i had chosen to focus on UK since it is on the top 3 of having most of impression inside Decisive Planner.

Budget: $8/day per campaign
CPA Goal: $0.33

Angles:

Why Install?

What Problems can it solve?

Picked:

Boost Android speed by 60% More!

Campaign structure:

I’m going to follow the Appetiser way of split testing by Wifi / App , Mobile / App , Wifi / Site , Mobile / SIte.

I had downloaded a couple of banners over the net and tweaked them a bit here and there and added some images.

Updates:

Total Spend: $ 11.22
Revenue: $ 0
Net profit/loss: - $ 11.22

All my banners are having a CPM of $ 0.07 and an average of $ 0.08 Spend each. I have not blacklisted any of the placements yet but there are candidates to be blacklisted as it is approaches a spend of 3X the offer payout.

Question: (This may have already answered in previous follow alongs, i would understand the irritation on my newbie question, im still searching the answers.)

1. For International offers, what GEO is a good target to start with? I know we should refrain from doing US Geo.
2. Do i need to finish my $15 spending budget before i start blacklisting those placements with or exceeding the 3X offer payout criteria?
3. What would be the lowest payout range to consider in selecting an offer?

Actions I took: Continue to monitor until it finishes the $ 15 budget spend. Create and add more banners.

I will do my best to update this thread daily. any inputs is highly appreciated. Thanks!

#2 the $15 spend is independent of blacklisting placements that reaxh 3x offer payout without a conversion. If it hits 3x payout without a conversion pause it asap and don't let it eat up any more budget.

How I look at it is that you dont want to be nursing wounded soldiers, you want to be feeding strong soldiers that'll win the battle for you.

(No offense to wounded soldiers)

I suggest using some new angles also. That angle it's way to used and people are imune to it. You should research common android problems and you might be able to get some good angles. Also check iamattila website. He has some great posts about mobile cpi angles !

Hello Stackers,

I'm back in action. Well i wasn't really out of action but after a few reads here and there i have decided to pause my first campaign, you know that kind of feeling when you do something and when your finally done on the process, you have this feeling of your missing something..

Hell yeah! that's actually what happened.. particularly on the links, tracking platform and Marketing Angles etc. it's driving me freaking NUTTTS!

You see.. things gets overwhelming specially when your injecting something new on your current system or daily routine.. something different off your habit.. Just like in my case, when i finally got back home from daily work and after having my dinner that's about at least 8:00 pm in the evening and as i start my thing with my computer from 8:00 pm - 12 : 00 am or most of the the time until i pass out.. as i evaluate the next morning, i realize i don't really accomplish anything..

I know i need to keep myself pushing off my limits even if i'm too drained due to my 10 hour work and start being productive on those 3 - 4 hours of my time in the evening everyday!

so what i did, i made a daily schedule to ensure i make a step forward every single day..

Sunday
Campaign 1
1. Offer Selection (2x for rotation)
2. Marketing Angle Creation -> Following Appetiser Method
3. WhatRunsWhere Spying (for banner creation)
4. Creatives Brainstorming
5. Mobileadscout Spying (for landing page)
6. Landing Page Brainstorming
7. Submit Ad copies / banners for production (I'm getting someone to do for me with only my ideas in it, so i can focus vividly on imp stuff)

Monday
Campaign 1
1. Set Up Voluum and Decisive for 2 offers selected
2. Upload banners (wait for approval)
3. Landing Page creation (ideas taken from Mobileadscout)

Campaign 2
4. Offer Selection (2x for rotation)
5. Marketing Angle Creation
6. WhatRunsWhere Spying
7. Creatives Brainstorming

Tuesday
Campaign 1
1. Check stats and choosing meats (making my cuts from yesterday run)
2. Check landing page stats and kill low CTR LP (continue running highest performing)
3. Submit new Ad copies / banners for production
4. New LP creation

Campaign 2
5. Mobileadscout Spying
6. Submit Ad copies / banners for production (I'm getting someone to do this stuff for me)

Wednesday
Campagin 1
1. Check stats and choosing meats
2. Check landing page stats and kill low CTR LP
3. Submit new Ad copies / banners for production -> only if havent reach my $15 budget if reached without good conversion drop campaign
4. Upload new banner created

Campaign 2
5. Set Up Voluum and Decisive for 2 offers selected
6. Upload banners (wait for approval)
7. Landing Page creation (ideas taken from Mobileadscout)

.
.
.
.
and so on…

spreading all this task across 3-4 hours per day so i can ensure i can be more productive daily..

Now.. going back to the original title of this thread which is 100% dedicated to success.. I had launched my 2nd campaign and i will be focusing only with sweepstakes and master it or maybe anything close to mastering it

Lander 2 brings me 2 of my conversation.

Look ahead plan:

1. I'll be uploading my next creatives once received.
2. I'm currently learning how to create LP following Caurmens post How To Build a Simple Mobile Lander That Actually Works
3. continue until it has a spend of $15.
4. follow my daily routine.

Lastly.. i'm embracing AM now.. for those who are experiencing huge success.. i do hope i could be on the same shoes very very soon..
From here i would like to know your comments base on my data.. this will help me as i go along with my journey. thanks in advance!

Update: Day 5 of my 2nd mobile campaign:

Re-cap:

so..i did blacklisted those placement that made 3x the offer payout during the $15 dollar spend, and paused all my campaign after the $15 spend was reached as it never made a $7 conversion for me.

but... i was skeptical not to run the offer 1 more time..

Attachment 5973

i noticed that all my conversions are made from my 2nd Angle and the ...so what i did is to give the offer another shot and had set up a whitelist campaign from yesterday.

here's my stats:

Total Spend: $6.03
Revenue: $2.16
Profit: - $ 3.87
ROI: -64.17%

Conversion: 3

what have i done:

1. im doing direct linking.
2. created 5 more banners and uploaded on this whitelist campaign
3. no idea what to do from here..

questions:

1. base on my Voluum stats, does a high CTR with minimum conversions tells something? perhaps offer is overused and being run by many?
2. should i drop and move on?
3. anything along the entire process of my follow along that you guys noticed that i might be doing incorrectly?

anyway...

just to share.. i had stumbled upon during my reads on this fantastic post by cmdeal that i think most of the newbie's like me are stuck on this stage..

Attachment 5974

hoping for some guidance and inputs.. any info would be profoundly appreciated...

mikoyz,
I have a question about your Voluum setup. Since in decisive you can bid on CPM but on Voluum you cannot set your cost by CPM, I was wondering how did you setup your cost on Voluum so that you can have correct Profit/loss data? i am having this challenge in my setup on Voluum.

hi khushbedi, i had asked a similar question with one of the member here in STM, on how to link an actual cost from traffic platform to your Voluum tracking platform, but apparently you can't. you can only determine your actual cost during your testing phase as the traffic platform generates your CPC value on the platform.. from there i use this value and key it in to Voluum.

if you want to get a precise data on your actual cost, only way is to go to your traffic platform and do your own calculation.

i maybe wrong as i am only 1 month old.. my two cents. hope this helps..

So are you putting in it manually I guess?
I still didn't know they've upgraded the manual cost option.
