Any Tips on Outsourcing Article Writing?

Hey everyone,

First off, everything on the forums great stuff, look forward to learning more with you. I had a quick question on article writing. Anyone have any tips on outsourcing article writing? Mostly, fair prices for a native English speaker, maybe a specific site you've had luck with, tips on getting a quality writer etc (getting samples first? prcoess? etc).

I know it's pretty open ended, but I'm looking to get a whole bunch of articles written real soon and was wondering if anyone had any tips?

Thanks a lot.

RB

I got my writers from freelancer.com

Just open a project in the range of $39 (you can also do that for free with a coupon => google), in which you state that you are looking for a native writer. It would be wise to include the volume of articles and the timespan you want them to be finished.

Then you will most likely get spammed with applications for the project, sort out the company type (they are charging higher, but of course can provide bigger volume). Pick out the ones with good feedback and ask for sample articles for previous customers.

Mostly at that point, i just give send them via text attachment my email address and pay them upfront. I pay $5 for 2-3 articles, but they are written by phillipinos and not native americans. The quality of the article is pretty good, but only for websites which make money with ads. If you want to promote products and similar i would go with a professional copywriter, but they charge like crazy.

Awesome thanks. I just wanted to at least ask so I had a guideline to tell what was too cheap (and would be poor quality and a waste of time) and what was too much.

I've had great luck with Textbroker.com.

They monitor the quality of the work product of their writers and only allow them to bid on work they are qualified for. You can select the quality of the writer you want to hire. Obviously the higher the quality the more it will cost.

I typically use a level 4 writer (out of 5) and have never been disappointed. Level 4 runs 0.022 per word. I've also used level 3 for some things where quality wasn't as big an issue and was equally satisfied with the work that was produced. I believe level 3 is 0.017 per word.

Best of luck.

I use Fiverr for writers. You can find native writers there. Test a few out to suit your taste.

Check out NeedAnArticle.com. There are a lot of great writers there but you need to pay $9+/month to be a member. (I have no idea why clients need to PAY to be a member first before we are allowed to place orders).

The rates are pretty good though:

S – Article for the up to 550 word article $6.27
M – Article for the up to 750 word article $9.78
L – Article for the up to 1000 word article $12.95
PR – Press release $24.95 (With distribution if desired)

They have editors in the team, which means that all articles written by their writers will go through proof-reading stage before they're released to you. So far I'm very pleased with the quality, I have been using them to write product reviews for a while now.

Once you have found a good writer, you can always go back to him/her for more work.

I like this place the most: http://www.ezdia.com/ma/article-writing-services.htm. I've gotten pretty good financial related articles for a good price. e.g. 6 for $30. They're well written but take a couple days to get back.

I've also used http://www.constant-content.com/ which is a little more on the expensive side, but good, especially if you need to find an article immediately.

http://www.articles-written.com <---great content, gets reviewed by a team so you don't spend hours editing, which is nice!

Craigslist

It costs $25 bucks but I got local gal that just graduated from a top university and wants to build up a writing portfolio. I pay $9 for a 600 word high quality article.
