Offer being redirected (2)

Hi All,

Flailing through my first campaign I ran into something super odd- my Voluum-generated URL is redirecting to a wide variety of rotating pages that are not my offer. The bare offer link: (eg) hxxp://server1.com/?a=xxx&c=104&s1= directs fine but when I add tokens and then test:

(eg) hxxp://server1.com/?a=xxx&c=104&s1={clickid}{campaign.id}{tra fficsource.id}{trafficsource.name}{lander.id}{offe r.id}

it lands on aggressive survey pages, downloads, etc on both Safari and Chrome. I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting- it *could* be some sort of local malware (although I'd like to think that I know better).

Is this direct linking to your offer? Are you in the same geo as your offer and browsing from a device that is intended to access to your offer?

It sounds like you're seeing a network redirect.

i.e. Voluum redirects to your affiliate link but the network sees that a) your geo isn't right and/or b) you're on the wrong device and redirects you to an offer it deems more suitable and they are able to make some money out of your from.

The advise would be to use a VPN to present yourself in the same geo as your offer is, and emulate your browser user agent to reflect a suitable mobile device if this is for a mobile offer, and then run your link again in a private browser window. You should then go where you want to go.
