Hi all,
I'm finally making baby steps with my first network and first offers, really just to get the mechanics down and have a basic question-
The offer in question has a BOATLOAD of creatives, each of which have a unique Cake URL:
http://server.com/?a=1234&c=2198&s1=
No issue with what that is (thank you caurmen!)- a = me; c= the campaign ID of the creative
My issue is that even though I have a ton of ready-made creatives, I don't want to use them because they don't fit my angle (and if I, as a total noob, have them, so does everyone else). So, easy enough to create my own. But, I DO want to at least start with the offer lander (it's pretty good) and focus on my ads. If I ignore the offer creatives and use my own, what do I use as the c value and if I do use say, c=9999 based on my own naming convention, what happens on their side? I assume that the lander link will still work and still be associated with me (a=1234) but they will get c=9999 which would be unknown, no?
I sort of feel like I'm overthinking this...
Cheers,
Guy
The chances are that those link to OFFER landers - so you can't avoid using them.
Think of each of those landers as, essentially, a separate offer. Some will convert better than others, some will convert worse.
If you can use your own banners for this offer, than just use your own banners, and send them to whichever offer lander you think will work best - or better yet, split-test several of them.
Does that make sense?
Use the existing campaign ID. If you use one you make up, it won't work.
Probably worth asking your AM about this one, and which campaign ID you should use for your own banners.
Awesome- thanks.
