I'm just beginning to dip my toes into Facebook waters and have encountered an immediate point of confusion.
Launching a bunch of ads for app installs over the last 48 hours I was quite excited to see some nice CTR % figures.

Back referencing to Qwaya I can see on pretty much every ad where there is significant activity, virtually all of the "clicks" are actually page likes or post likes. Very, very few people are actually hitting the download button to go on through to the Google Play store.
Of course Facebook is still charging me regardless of whether a click is a click on the CTA or the click of a Like button. I've been paying CPC. So how to make this work?
My immediate thinking is should I be running oCPM optimised for clicks since if I'm getting this much action (5-15% CTRs on Newsfeed ads) it would be better to pay by the thousand perhaps?

Of the actual clickthroughs I am getting on the ads, pretty much none are actually making it through to the offer. As far as
I've heard on the grapevine there may be an issue with Voluum redirects and Facebook an am wondering if this might be it?
FYI, this is on a custom domain CNAMEing to the Voluum URL, but from what I've heard there could be an issue with any kind of Voluum redirect links.
Can anyone confirm?
So yeah... Not the smoothest of starts. Hopefully the future is less rocky, but hey - this is Facebook.
