not sure if you're being serious or not but that's some fine lateral thinking, something I really need to work on, any tips on how to really think outside the box?

@craigm - one of the most helpful tricks I've ever found to track down seriously out-of-the-box angles actually comes from good directing practice.

If you're directing an actor and his/her performance just isn't quite hitting the right notes - particularly if he/she is really tense - one of the most helpful directions can be "do it wrong".

"Seriously, do it wrong. Act it in completely the wrong way. Deliberately do it badly."

About half the time they'll immediately nail the performance on the next take. The other half of the time it'll loosen them up and they'll get it a couple of takes later.

You can use the same trick very effectively for angles. Start a mindmap up, and do it wrong. Just come up with terrible ideas. The worst ones you can think of. Ones that would never work. Ones that wouldn't get a conversion if you spent $10,000 on them. Ones that could land you in jail. Ones that'd get you burnt out of your house by an angry mob.

Then, once you have a good long list of terrible ideas, look over them and see if there's a way to twist them around so that they work. Try reversing them. Try riffing off them to less terrible ideas.

Sometimes you'll come up with a "terrible" idea that you look at and suddenly go "hey, actually, that could work". Most of the time that won't happen - but the ideas that your terrible ideas spark off may well be very good, and will certainly get you out of the main rut.

Of course im being serious.
I dont like to follow the crowd and instead run my own shit that gets me great cr and little competition.


The goal is to have them install the app. So since saying your phone is slow is a lie you can safely lie using more creative ways that appeal to mass market interest.

Read finchs 6 sins post and try and come up with angles based on that where the goal is to have the app installed.

For example, take Tim's angle. Now, that got me thinking - is there any way a phone keyboard could make you ACTUALLY sick? Well, I can think of at least two ways, but the most obvious one is RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury.

Can a phone give you RSI? Hell yes it can. So now you've got a genuine angle:

I spied a bit today for my campaign and came across a Go Keyboard landing page.
The angle was basically "Your keyboard could be leaking messages" or something like that. "Install Go Pro Keyboard!".

Not sure. Theoretically the smartphone could have a keylogger installed. That way the keyboard could be really "leaking" messages. It'd be only compliant if the Go Pro Keyboard app has a protection against such malware.
