Dating Offers Lead Quality

I am running traffic to adult dating offers. Getting decent volumes and Network came back and says lead quality not converting.
If anyone knows from the network side, what would be a decent percentage for lead quality to be acceptable for adult dating offers for WEB or Mobile.

So I like to ask STM'ers how would you improve lead quality. Love to hear some advice on improving quality score of the dating offers. Just make good business sense to bring good quality leads for affiliate and advertisers.

Question #2:
What traffic sources for adult dating that have decent lead quality?

My thoughts of how to improve quality of the leads...please chime in if you have any ideas!

1. Adult lander does not say free or No CC required
2. Adult Lander has questions asking for ages of visitors
3. Block nonconverting sourceid of traffic not converting

Yep, you have the right idea. Also, don't use banners that say Free or No CC.

Also make sure you are tracking the traffic source with your leads, so that you can identify if a particular placement/source is good or bad.

Pictures of older women generally push a higher lead quality. In general, you want to avoid the demographics that aren't as likely to have money (younger guys, in particular).

FInch wrote an excellent piece on avoiding the dreaded boot from adult offers: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Get-Booted%29

Finchs guide is great thats for sure,

Focusing on top tier adult sites keeps quality good as well, I've been booted within days on running random sites probably tonnes of bot traffic but generally campaigns last long in terms of quality on the major adult streams. Mature women pictures, limited use of the word Free, and really if any. I think its been touched on here before, but PPS/revshare can be a very interesting route in adult. Not so much for short term income, but if stability and longevity is what you want, and not to many worries on quality its a route maybe to look into

I manage several publishers that push adult traffic. Adult can by finicky, Ive had guys get kicked of an offer only to be offered a paybump by another advertiser. Sometimes it comes down to finding the right offer.

If you have decent volume you may be able to work out a deal with your network, sometimes an advertiser will lower your pay to keep you on the offer.

I have some member's area dating traffic available (casual and mainstream) that converts especially well from free membership to paid membership. I sell this traffic on a cpc mainly to large dating networks however if you have a strong cpa dating offer I may be able to hook you up.

I have publishers who have done business with Green Point and they highly recommend his traffic.

Probably the biggest lead quality factor is user intent.

If you pitch the service as the 'first free find and fuck site', offering photos of women that the user is likely to know, then he's going to sign up with intent that isn't conducive to sales.

If you target men over 40, with lots of disposable income and a track record of paying for sex (escort users), and you pitch them a 'cheaper' way of getting laid... the intent is completely different.

I think a lot of affiliates misinterpret the underlying reason why some sources are better than others.

It all boils down to: how much intent is built-in to the traffic source + how much intent you can create with your funnel.

You don't find many affiliates having lead quality issues with AdWords.

Why?

Because so much intent is built in to the funnel.

You do hear many affiliates having trouble with pop sources, and lower quality tube sites.

That's because there isn't sufficient user intent built in to those platforms to turn a lead in to a paying customer.

You have to manufacture it with your funnel.

In other words, you have to actually sell.

When you read advice like 'target older users for better quality leads', or 'don't mention free', that is good advice, but it's ambiguous. You are essentially placing your hopes in the gods of the demographics.

That advice won't save you if you end up reaching older users who still have no intention of paying for the service.

If you want the best lead quality, you have to learn to:

1. Pique intrigue
2. Explain the service (accurately)
3. Sell the service
4. Filter users who probably shouldn't even be offered the service

A lot of affiliates stop at piquing intrigue -- or worse, explaining the service in a way that misrepresents it -- which is why their ratios get watered down by users who sign up as free leads never to return.
