A couple of week ago I started working on an affiliate program with FB ads, turns out that there was a problem with it, FB wouldn't publish the affiliate domain and no conversions for my account. I've decided to stop, as also suggested by other AM who were trying it- so much for my first project.
So, thinking about where to start for the long run, I've been trying to chose a vertical and think dating would be a good one as I have thought of some angles that I believe would work quite well yet have not seen them mentioned anywhere (don't feel stepping into adult as I think there's a lot going on, haven't got a clue about gaming). My problem is deciding whether to start with mobile or go with FB.
It would make sense to start with mobile because it is only growing. I have also seen in the forum how IAmAttila encourages newbies to go mobile, Mr Green suggested mobile unless I wanted to do FB because I am familiar with it ( a bit)...
The con I see is that I think that I'll need to invest quite more money for the learning phase with mobile (though Mr Green told me that not really) where as with FB it's easier for me and to scale things up all I need is to pay more.
Which way do you think I should go? And regarding cloaking?
This said, I think I've read that to do dating on FB I need to cloak? And I don't have any idea on how to do this.
Can't really do dating on FB unless you are whitelisted with the advertiser and running compliant activities.
