Is sweepstake still big in mobile? If you have experience, what are the things for me to take note? Question/quiz type landing page, cheap traffic?

Yes it is indeed!

However need to test new angles and landers.

You will have a tough time just using the old weekly winner lander from the good old PPV times.

Subscribed ... Trying sweeps myself and having trouble cracking it. I'm getting good banner and LP CTR but it doesn't seem to result in conversions.

Yeah I'd love to hear how this is raging - get some ideas on testing out new angles.

@ BBrock32, do you have any lander templates for Sweeps that still work as a framework to work off? (I realize I might have to update copy etc.)

It would be good to know some basic mobile sweeps benchmarking metrics just to know where to focus efforts.

@BBrock32

However need to test new angles and landers.
Does your new angles mean: Type of questions/quiz that you ask in the lander?

Angle 1: Football questions/quiz - Does Rooney play for Manchester United YES/NO and so on...
Angle 2: Celebrity questions/quiz - Does Kate Upton appear in THE OTHER WOMAN movie YES/NO
Angle 3: Samsung OR Apple questions/quiz

And so on...??

Something like this?

I did something like your Angle 1 - quiz/survey was based on professional sports in North America (3 questions).

I had a mid XX% CTR from the lander (varied from Mobile to WIFI).

However, it didn't generate any conversions on a pretty large click volume. I figured it was a good angle - but the absence of conversions may say otherwise.

I'm looking for some sort of quiz/survey lander where do I find that?

My experience in mobile sweeps though limited seems to work especially well when you build some sort of interactive web-app.

Think of those flash banners back in the day where you had to win a simple 'game' before you get a prize. Same concept, different platform.

Can you please help point me in the right direction please? For these type of quiz/survey landers?

Sign up for a mobile spy tool (e.g whatrunswhere). Then search for keywords like "quiz", "survey" and "vouchers.

There is an awesome tutorial by caurmen on how to make quiz style landers:
http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...r-Your-Landers

I've started to run sweeps about 2 months ago and all my landers are all based on that tutorial.

You may also want to include an initial pop-up box as well. This boost twice my lp ctr

I have WRW, I tried to search but I don't see much banners/LPs using these 3 terms.

Sweepstakes still work REALLY well.. Try putting some testimonials on your landing page and it should convert better. A video as testimonial is way better from my experience.

Which traffic source you advice?

Thank you.

We definitely see quite a bit of sweepstakes coming across our platform- one of our top performers in the last month or two. As with most verticals, it doesn't work for everyone, but I've definitely seen some great success with a variety of different sweeps offers.

Go2mobi is really good, I also recommend these:
Decisive
Millennial Media
Lead Bolt
Airpush

If you need offers that work well here let me know.

Sweepstakes is still working and even increasing both on web and mobile.

you will need to find an offer that matches your Audience as there are so many different sweepstakes offers such as $100 coupons to burger King to $150 vouchers for Michael Kors bags

so once you will identify your audience it will be much easier to convert the traffic with the right offer.

if you are into the sweepstakes vertical i also suggest to try some pin Submits and mobile subscriptions offers, I often find its working very well on the same traffic sources.

Another great resource for spying on landers is Mobile Ad Scout. Many people don't even develop landers from scratch - they'd just "borrow" and mod. If you do sign-up, be sure to use the $30-off code.

Or you can do it the good ole' fashioned way - manually browse to sites that have popup/popunder ads to spy on what people are doing. To get a big list of sites that have pop ads, set up a new TARGET campaign on zeropark for the geo you're wanting to spy on, and you'll be shown a list of publishers to choose from. Simply copy and save that somewhere and start spying.

Have fun!
