Today came across a popup that I believe vibrated my phone at least 3-4 times! How is this possible? And if it is, how can I get one! lol
Unfortunately I don't have the link url and couldn't reproduce the popup, but if that particular lander made my phone vibrate it was amazing!
Anyone had this experience?
Yes, it's possible through HTML5 Vibration API.
There are even more interesting API's to play with (battery detection, fullscreen, phone camera etc. - not everything works in all browsers though)
More on that: http://davidwalsh.name/vibration-api or http://www.sitepoint.com/use-html5-vibration-api/ or Google :-)
^^ dangerous
here ian dangerous but damn good lander using the API

Damn, anybody did tests with LP CTR already ?
Seem like a good feature for Anti Virus,Sweepstake and Dating
Problem is compatibility with browsers version. Not supported everywhere

It doesn't work with Android browser but with Chrome and Firefox it's pretty good, especially for scarware

Shit, and here I was hoping no one would know about this.
I wonder if anyone has synced vibes to an ahem *adult* gif yet.

Wow this is gold! Better jump on it asap
Just tested it on my Chrome that was already installed on my Sony Z3 and it didn't work. It does work on Mozilla though
Dang this stuff is dangerous.
Going to split test this today on my landers.
Oh no secrets out
js api's are fun.
Combining this with Page Visibility API for popunders. =)
It was a secret? lol
Ok no more secrets from now
BTW there are many small tricks like these in the wild and yes these can help you to do some dangerous stuff and gain some small ROI.
But do not forget that your COPY is the BIG guy anyway.
Wow amazing, I'm going to have so much fun with this
Edit: works on Chrome. Once every one of us implements this on every lander forever, and it gets mad media attention, they are going to pull the functionality. This is really neat though.
Damn it, now the only secret I had is out
yeah it has very limited browser support, I've tested it on several browser/versions.

Tested and works on both Firefox & Chrome for Android. Default browser wont work
Nice!
