Hi All!
My first campaign had -94 % ROI. My second one had -100 % ROI. Not good but I keep launching and testing!
Offer Selection
I chose “ZERO Launcher” offer for following reasons:
• It has many countries where you can promote it
• Broader appeal – Wallpapers, themes, widget etc. It looks like a great offer to promote on mobile.
• Huge volume – Already over 50+ million installs.
Angles
I can't do anything with angles here. The advertiser doesn’t allow custom creatives. That sucks
But it’s a successful app so I've decided to do a small test anyway. My previous two campaigns failed and I want to at least compare results with this one.
Banners
Unfortunately only 1 banner to test because of the advertiser limitations.
Are you sure that the offer doesn't allow custom creatives? You should be able to get your own creatives approved by your AM actually.
I mean, assume this happens:
That banner doesn't work. What's next then?
If the banner sux go with text, i usually have better ctr with text.
Also test the offer link how fast it loads its possible that people who have poop internet and click ur ad never actualy see the offer because of slow loading...
Hmm - definitely query the creatives thing with your AM. Unless the offer's very unusual, you'll have a tough time getting to profit with stock creatives.
However, a lot of the "no custom creatives allowed" offers are actually more "ask nicely and we'll let you run custom creatives".
Cool post here may be worth looking at when it comes to placements! http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...sive-Blacklist
Results after 1 day of testing
Spend: $8.53
Revenue: $0
ROI: -100 %
Clicks in Decisive: 1,184
Clicks in
Clicks in an affiliate network: 785
This time I used a different affiliate network. My click loss is 33%. That's much better than 60-65 % click loss with my previous campaigns. I'm still not 100% sure if click loss is related to an affiliate network. I'll keep testing.
I've paused this campaign. This offer doesn't convert at all with the default banner and they rejected my own banners.
So I'm searching for a good offer again. Any recommendation what type of offers could work with The Mobile Cookbook: The Appetiser approach (direct linking). Or should I skip The Appetiser and go to the next level - landing pages?
Thank you, guys!
You've been doing this for a little while now - I'd upgrade to landing pages. Be aware there will be a learning curve, but once you've got the hang of them they'll push your conversions up.
Nice work, good testing, and keep at it!
are you using landing pages? you need a landing page to convince the user to install the app...
