First Mobile Follow Along

After losing some money on Airpush, and InMobi I am putting my affords on mobile again.

I am doing PPV from more than one year, but it is little difficult to scale or to be in profit so I want one more traffic source which can be easily scalable, and not just one or two good traffic source. Mobile can be a great source that can solve this problem, @charlesngo, and @iamattila blog have taught me a lot, so I am finally ready with mobile.

As a tracker, I am using CPVLab (latest version), and ready to lose some money for my mistakes (I have done some)

I have started and dating CPI campaign that pays $2.4 per install and made some mistakes.

First SubId was not passing, and I got three conversions without knowing what is converting
Second I was not using Mobile Traffic source Token so fewer data.

I am running this campaign in Australia, and after spending $53 I got 665 clicks and six conversions.

Spend: $53
Earning: $14.40
Total: ($38.6)

At present, I have just created one Text Ad, and one default Banner ad with direct linking. Now I know this offer converts.

My next target is to add more banners, text ads, and the lander, but before that I want to solve tracking problem.

In PPV, I only needed Keyword token, and it was easy to implement, but with mobile I am not sure how to use token on CPVLab.

Please help me how to add a token in CPVlab and how to see token results.

Traffic source provides tokens like User ID, App ID, Creative Name etc. I tried to implement these token in my tracking URL like default CP link (base.php?c=128&key=126cd0b4df873e0b22bc&app=app_i d&creative=creative_name&campaign=campaign_id) but not getting any data.

Maybe I am doing it wrong, please help.
(Sorry for my bad English)

Check out the "Extra Tokens" section in the CPVLab tutorial here on STM - that should help you out!

Let us know if that doesn't solve the problem and we'll dig deeper.

Time for some update.

I just spend $100 actually $101. I am still facing some problem in CPVlab extra token, it is not showing any data. Have to dig deep into this problem.

Total Spend: $101
Revenue: $81
P/L: ($20)

Not a bad start I was not expecting this result. I am in profit from last few days, but not much traffic. I will continue this offer and see what happens.

At present, I am doing CPC bidding at $0.08 and getting 5.7% CTR on the ads.

Feb 7

Spend: $42.6
Earning: $36
P/L: ($6.6)

Overall Spend: $151
Earnings: $124.8
P/L: (26.2)

I am still not able to track extra token on CPVLab. I will run campaign agin when I will able to track extra tokens.

Update

I have solved the extra token problem with the help of CPVLab support. (Thank you CPVLab for great support)

I have already blocked two app ids which was not converting after 3x of payout.

At present I am only running text ad because of tracking issue now I have added one banner. My text ad CTR is about 6%. Now will test some more text ads and banners as tracking issue is solved.

Status till date
Spend: $320
Earnings: $225
P/L: ($95)

At present I Targeting only cellular network no WiFi. I am targeting few categories for now will test few more categories one by one.

What I found is that I am getting most of the clicks and conversions from only one App ID. Profit from this App target is only 20%.

I want to know should I create a new campaign for Wifi traffic or I should enable WiFi traffic within this campaign.

Thank you for your support.

Create a new campaign for wifi. It'll behave very differently.
