I suppose the obvious answer would be no, because of cultural differences, religions, etc,. But I wonder if it is a good idea (or even an option) to test ads in countries with a cheaper CPC and then use those results in those with a higher CPC? Of course it wouldn't make sense to test in Indonesia for an ad in the USA, but how about test in South Africa, for example?
No. We run images in Mexico desktop newsfeed and get 12-14% ctr. That in the U.S. 4-6%. Americans much more desensitized to things then a lot of other countries.
