Newbie: Clickbank product/ 73% converting landing page/ 0 sales

Hi

I signed up to STM on Sunday, been reading a lot and learning, taking notes and so forth.

Fast forward, I had a domain I bought months ago to sell a Clickbank product with Gravity >60<100, did a landing page and have been testing FB ads the last 3 days. Of course things had to go wrong at some point and landing page was down for 6 hours because of a host problem- I stopped the FB campaign during that time, turned it on again for the remaining time.

Daily budget was 5 USD, initially I targeted 1st world English speaking countries but CPC was very high, so I tried a new ad with few third + second +1st world countries, targeting interests that match the product. Price of the product is a bit over 40 USD, my comission above 20. I also put a tracking pixel in the landing page understanding that it would register clicks on the landing page.

So I just went to my Ad manager account and saw that one of the images outperformed the other 5 by a lot, getting 40 conversions (according to FB, that's around 73%) out of 55 clicks on the FB ad. The other 5 images got 7 conversions out of 11 Ad clicks. The best performing image also had the second lowest cost per conversion and CPC (0.11). Best performing ad cost me 5.78 USD out of the total cost of 7.28 USD (instead of the 10 USD total, this because of the site going down)

I also tracked with mouseflow the landing page and can identify many clicks on it, taking the person to the sales page.

All this, and 0 sales.

So my questions are :

1) Should I increase my FB budget to see if I get a sale, focusing on my best performing ad, age gap and other variables?
2) Forget about these countries, and retry in 1st world countries despite a higher CPC using the image that performed best?
3) As I read in one of the guides here on STM, perhaps the product is not that good despite Gravity and I should forget about it?
4) Most of the clicks came from India. I also targeted Israel, Malaysia, South Africa and Singapore, but got no clicks from any of these except Malaysia.

Thanks in advance for any help, I'm net to this. I have also considered forgetting about this and going with POF as a place to start, as somewhere in STM I read it's possibly the best place for beginners.

Sorry if this is dumb, I am starting out with AM.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It is very inspiring, you are definitely doing it right! Don't ever undervalue yourself, you're a great mind, love the way you're testing various images and implementing a bunch of things that you've learned on STM.

I would suggest you to focus on one thing at a time. So if you started with FB - go ahead and keep testing. I am not sure how much budget you have but $5/day/campaign is very very low to identify the winning ads, especially when you are running a cost per sale offer on Clickbank. When I was a beginner I was always told to have a test budget double the amount of the commission/payout, but over the years I learned it usually takes more money to find the right offers with the right targeting and the right ads/images. So just stay focused and collect as much data as you possibly can.

CPC is usually high in the beginning, but once you have been running for days - if you have good engagement rate plus decent ctr on your ads - it will lower. I'd probably focus on one country at a time... Each country is different with a unique background/lifestyle/thinking/habits...

Have you looked at what your competitors doing? What ads they're using, what landing pages they are using? What tracking system, what server they're on?

As far as offers... You always wanna test multiple offers, but with such low budget it's going to take a long time, not enough data to make a decision. Try to increase your budget and rotate several offers!

Keep on doing it and update us how it is going for ya!

Good luck!
