Postback URL's when Going Direct Question
Most affiliate networks allow you to put in a postback URL from our tracker (ie. Thrive) into their system/offer... so you can track conversions and such within your own tracker. I noticed when you go direct to an adult offer or any type of offer... not talking direct linking... I'm talking about that you bypass the affiliate and go directly to the owners of the offer and get your links and such fromthem, most of their systems don't allow you to put in a postback URL/pixel... so, how do we track conversions to the clicks that we get so we can analyze and optimize our campaigns? Their (the direct offer company's system) tracking software will show a sale when it happens but our tracking system will just show the traffic due to no way of being notified of the sale... but we won't know outside of banner click/CTR data what actually is converting? Any thoughts, insights or answers? Thanks

Have you actually asked them if they can set-up a postback?
Maybe it's something not visible to you that they need to implement themselves.
It's in their long-term interests as well as your own that you can interpret to and respond to data easily. I'd be surprised if they cannot facilitate your request.

In my experience, pretty much all direct merchants have the ability to implement a postback. Most of the time you can't set it up yourself though and have to talk to your manager about it.

If they already work with an affiliate network then they already have postbacks / pixels in place.
Have you tried talking to them?

If you're referring to AFF/UpForIt/etc, then yes, you need to set it up manually by emailing your account manager. They do allow it.
It gets complicated if you want to track different events, like a free sign-up, DOI, first sale, recurring sale etc.
