new version of noipfraud is here!!
Here is the official announcement to the STM community.
We've been updating our existing users this week about the new features so you might have already heard some rumours about this.
Throughout the last (many) months, on top of updating our filters all the time to improve accuracy, we've had a dedicated team working on the new version to implement all the features and suggestions our users have passed on to us. And finally, the new fully revamped version of noip is now ready to be released.
We want to officially announce it here because after all, this is where Noipfraud started. In fact, since inception, we have never done any advertising and mainly relied on word of mouth because we love working with new members who are referred by our customers, trusted contacts and this awesome forum.
As a result, we've been introduced to so many awesome online marketers and noip has now been the go-to service for link protection since Dec 2011!
And as we continue to grow with more great marketers getting on board, our product will only continue to improve with better feedback and new perspectives as we implement those ideas into the ongoing updates/versions.
So thank you all for your support you've shown over the years!
And now, without further ado, here are some sneak peek screenshots and features of the new version:
Easy linking no need to upload index files if you don't want to!
Javascript method now build in so you can easily integrate with your CDN hosted pages and 3rd party sites like Facebook pages.
Define your own custom white and blacklist rules for your campaigns. Noipfraud also supports a ton of new data fields like Carrier, IP, and brand new advanced OS & Browser detection.
Re-use your frequent rules by grouping them as a Filter that you can then assign to a campaign.
Define your own traffic sources and set the default filters you want to use for that traffic source.
Access and analyse your raw click data for your campaigns so you can improve your own filters and rules. Group the data by Carrier, Organisation, Browser or many other data fields.
Not to mention, we also rolled out our new backend api and servers in Europe, us, and Asia reducing load time of api requests by 50%.
Last but not least, we started a twitter profile just to release this new version.
If you are not yet a member and want to stay updated, you can follow us at
https://twitter.com/noipfraud for up to the minute updates, including:
- Release announcement

I'm not familiar with this platform at all.
Can you expand on what the features do, such as:
Easy linking no need to upload index files
What index files? Can this be a list of URL's we want to redirect for certain GEO's?
Javascript method now build in so you can easily integrate with your CDN hosted pages and 3rd party sites
The screenshot shows "place this js on the alternate page. If a visitor is deemed safe a redirection takes place"
What is the average delay for this script to load, etc. If I am running mobile campaigns, on shaky Carrier traffic how much of an impact on delivery can I expect?
it also shows three highlighted blocks of text: "Protection", "Footprint", "Difficulty". I think I can surmise what the first two refer to, but what is "difficulty" referring to here? What is difficult here?
Thanks in advance

We kind of stay under the radar.

Most tools in our category offer only 1 way to link traffic to your campaign. We have always supported a variety of methods, but the most common one was for you to download a index.php file for the campaign you created and place it anywhere on your server. This removes any footprint of noipfraud on your server.
This new version recognises that for some campaigns this is not a requirement and therefore enables you to copy a URL from your noip interface and paste in your traffic source without the need to upload the additional file. The footprint is still very low and its much easier to quickly get a campaign up and running.
Besides that the new version also include a build in javascript method that supports frame breaking.

Noipfraud has the option to rotate between as many pages as you want for white listed Geo(s) within a campaign. You can also add a dynamic country code tag to your URLs to add a further layer for Geo redirects, for example so UK goes to
http://yourdomain.com/uk/page.php and US goes to
http://yourdomain.com/us/page.php.

This is dependent on a bunch of factors as you no doubt know.
If i look at the time it takes for our API to process requests - 90% are processed withtin 30ms (excluding network roundtrip):
If I factor in network latency and redirect time its around 100ms-200ms on a normal desktop browser depending on the way your campaign is setup, the speed of your own servers, the speed of the visitors network connection and network latency. We have servers in Asia, Europe, and both of the sides of the US to keep load time low.
Here is are 2 examples using Chrome Dev Tools mobile emulation - using no throttling and then throttling to GPRS.
Note that the noipfraud part is only the first line - showing a campaign redirecting to google.com.
As you can see the initial redirect without throttling is about 90ms. When throttling to GPRS its 560ms.

Difficult means the level of server/development knowledge required to use this particular method.
The simplest is the link method i showed above.
The most difficult is the php code which allows you to integrate noip with your ecommerce or CMS system, or add additional redirect logic with php code.
Hope this clarifies things. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hey Smashbid - we just learned about this yesterday and are looking into it. We have some new super advanced filters in development and internal testing right now but I dont know enough about the technology used by RiskIQ yet:
Our proprietary virtual user technology, coupled with our extensive global proxy network, ensures our scanners outsmart scanner evasion technology. Because RiskIQ acts as a real user would, we show you what is happening on your Internet assets right now. By capturing the Document Object Model from the perspective of the browser over millions of virtual user sessions, RiskIQ sees and experiences your digital footprint at scale.
And just to be clear and avoid confusion - we do not support the distribution of malware, ransomware or virusware!

Depending how many users you have cloaking FB it could be as simple as blacklisting IPs that are hitting different users more than X in a certain period. If they are really scanning millions of ads/day. the same IPs should start to come up over and over across different NOIP user accts.
But I know little about cloaking, and am probably over simplifying it.

Unless it's changed, I believe NoIP is still self hosted so IPs will be completely independent for each user.

Yes exactly and we do this already, not just with IP data but a range of other indicators. If I was RiskIQ i would try and use residential IPs or procure an IP range that looks like residential IPs. So we cant just rely on IP as an indicator.

Correct noip is and will always remain self hosted to make sure you are the only one who can see your landing pages and campaigns, and also to make sure your campaigns are mot affected by some generic domain or IP getting banned (like the recent issues with
Voluum).

IPs of visitors hitting your campaign URL will be independent of each other but are often the same.
One of the best examples is the IP range from xlhost - this is a common source of bots and spiders and spytools and we sometimes see campaigns of our users getting hit by 10-20% of visits from these IP ranges.

We rolled out a quick update to the campaign editor to make filter selection easier

Available filters show on the left. You can filter down by selecting the filter type in the dropdown.
Then you can select and enable filters or disable them. Active filters listed in black are the default ones for your traffic source and can not be disabled.
