Tablet traffic (10)

Tablet traffic

I'm currently running on Zeropark to a mobile offer. Which overall is green but not by a huge amount.

Checking my Sats all my noble traffic is converting at 43% ROI but is let down by my tablet traffic which is converting terribly.

I've tried loads of different landers for the tablet traffic however my AM said tablets convert badly on all their offers. As I can't stop tablet traffic has anyone any good idea of what works for tablets?

Hmm - first of all, let me ask a blindingly obvious question.

Have you checked your landers and your offers on the tablets that you're getting the most traffic from?

It's possible that you're just hitting issues of screen size. Likely not, but since that's the simplest fix it's worth checking first (if you haven't already).

Also - are the tablets' OSes approximately the same as the phone OSes that you're seeing conversions from? In other words, are you seeing mostly iPhone and iPad, for example, or are the tablets Android but the phones Apple?

I've tried a range of landers and they all look just as good on tablets as they do on phones but each has produced the same results.

Going to have to drill down in my data to answer that second question which is a little difficult by phone so I will do that when back on the laptop. However android and windows phone is smashing iOS

Manage to check and its iPads that are losing the most. So it's not iOS itself it just seems to be iPads that are the problem

What kind of mobile offer are you running? Is it a subscription?

FYI many tablets do not have a cellular plan (= Wifi only), so perhaps you could redirect tablet traffic to a game app install ?

Sorry I should've said, it's an adult dating offer.

Hmm, interesting. Does the offer page itself also render OK on an iPad?

I'd treat the iPad traffic as an entirely separate campaign here. Go back to basics and test a range of offers for JUST the iPad traffic, and see if you can find one that at least doesn't lose as much money. Even if you can get this traffic to break-even, you should be able to push the rest of the campaign into the black.

How are the lander CTRs as opposed to CVRs on the iPad? That would be a useful stat to know.

Find an offer that converts on tablet traffic - your AM should be able to help you with that. I wouldn't accept 'tablets convert terribly on all offers'. Go look somewhere else.

Then redirect tablet traffic to a different presale/offer. Make sure you test the original presale page as well on the new offer.

I had the same issue with an adult dating offer and now for my Tablet traffic I'm using a WEB offer.

Tablet 7.64% CTR 0.18% CV

Iphone 8.57% CTR 0.82% CV
Ipad 6.69% CTR 0% CV

That's an idea I could try, a desktop lander optimised for iPads to a desktop offer.
