Is my landers getting attacked by bots?

Hi stackers, need a 2nd opinion here.

I have been doing a follow along here

Decided to do Zeno's bot check trick...and I'm hoping its not bots but I need a second opinion.

This campaign is running on App - Carrier only and it is 1 publisher. All the other publishers have had bad performance, low CTR's, etc. This is the only publisher that I have been able to get constant conversions from.

So here is the data:

Before I put in the 1x1 pixel.

Lander 1g8 had 281 visits and 100 clicks to the LP:.
Lander 1g6 had 321 visits and 105 clicks to the LP.

After about an hour or so:

Lander 1g8 had 465 visits (+184 visits) and 159 (+59 clicks) clicks to the LP.
Lander 1g6 had 507 visits (+186 vists) and 168 (+63 clicks) clicks to the LP.

So on bitly, it shows 267 clicks to my LP (both).

So total visits is 370 and bit.ly recorded 267. So would that say, 103 visits were bots? is this normal or should I kill this placement? I'm only running carrier - app and not wifi, mobile web, or anything...

When I tried Zeno's bot check method with Decisive traffic, the bit.ly link showed much lower numbers than Voluum. Like 20% of the visits.

My opinion is that there is a huge amount of bots all over app and web placements on DSP traffic sources, but you can't do much about it.

Best thing to do is to stick to roi, if placement converts - then keep it. if it doesn't - then kill.

What Katim said. You should be ROI oriented and kill whatever doesn't profit.

Knowing the cause when you can't change it ( like in this case bot traffic ) won't be of much help.

We should create a portal to send bots to that somehow monetises bots, perhaps by feeding them into a pay-per-bot botnet.

That would be interesting, there are many services that are delivering fake traffic to websites to boost their alexa rank or google analytics stats before sale.
Play a little bit to fake a referer to make it look like SE and SM traffic and viola.
