Hello,
After the buzz surrounding ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com I played around with a copycat website http://ShipYourLoverLove.com
The idea was to mail handwritten Valentines Day cards sent on your behalf if your were too lazy to do it yourself. Included would be a few stickers, confetti, foam hearts and a heart shaped balloon.
I set the cost at 12.99 then dropped to 9.99. Put up a couple ads targeting a few large cities in Canada. Got about 200 clicks with no buys.
Does anybody have a suggestion how I could market this over the next few days? Ideally I would finish marketing by this Sunday to give sufficient time to package and mail (500 orders is my cap but at this point it would be great to get a fraction of that).
Thanks for reading this far!
Mate the reason why ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com was a success was because it was a very unique novelty service. It got shared around because of this, so no paid marketing needed. It will die down sharply because of the novelty factor.
I think your angle is too mainstream, not unique enough, and your a competing with a trillion other businesses in the Valentines gift and cards market.
I'm sorry to say but in my opinion, I think it's probably better to pass on that idea, and focus on a more unique angle, or on your affiliate campaigns.
