Does taking someones banner/landing page just mean you copy their structure/wording/layout/scheme etc or are people actually extracting the code and/or finding a way to get the photoshop/paint/gimp file data?
Also the images of the people in adult banners…are these just taken from Google images or similar ? or is their a catalogue people use ?

taking a banner = right click, save image as..
you'll find plenty of adult banners into the adult spy tools (STM Toolbox)
Taking the lander is right clicking saving the page and changing the links and codes so it works and links to your own offer rather than the other person's.
Banner for adult just use adultspytool. Everyone uses it. Or VPN to your targeted geo and going to the top sites in your traffic source and ripping what you see.
