I have not used G for a long time because I suck at tracking.
I don't know how to do big campaigns fast and track them properly, so I have never made progress there and just stuck to my SEO.

I have my own internal tracking but it's only good for SEO.

I need something for Google display and search and I hope there's something besides T202.

The google tracking pixel works pretty well for both display and search. I usually use both prosper and the google pixel together because with prosper it's easy to switch links or rotate offers to split test if needed.

I haven't used Google for a long time but I'm sure CPVLab can be set up easily to track Adwords.

Also , their pixel worked pretty well for me in the past.

Ian jump into CPVlab, it's good for everything

You can use CPV lab for search campaigns, but it won't work for the google display network because cpvlab doesn't show you the referring URL. So you can't see what site your offer converted on. I've been waiting for them to add this feature so I can run all my campaigns in one place.

All I ever used was the google pixel

Don't suck at tracking. Study it, and get it right. It is essential to everything you do. Seriously don't spend a dime on marketing until you got it.

You can use Google Analytics, P202, or CPVlab for almost anything. Google gives you ease of use, P202 give you more control and CPVlab gives your ultimate control and depth of tracking. Just start were your comfortable and progress. Tracking is the one thing that separates internet marketers from the rest of the marketing world. Ask questions as your learning. This is a great place to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm start with CPVlab. I mean I've used tracking before no problems and did a 2k leads a day campaign for IQ on fb using p202 for example, but i just feel like I"m always missing something or something's in the way. For example, I wanted to advertise pages of an SEO site i have, but i can't because if I apply tracking code to those pages and their offer links it will mess up my organic traffic tracking. So there goes my potential quality score from all the +1s facebook shares and backlinks etc.

Anyway just stupid things in my way... i'll put landers in a subfolder and noindex it using robots.txt...then send traffic to that.

P202 and Goog pixel are all you need for Adwords tracking. Done a lot of volume there with just those.

@theguvna: I forgot that was even an option since none of the offers I currently deal with even allow pixel placement. However, I am getting into doing my own leadgen so I will be placing G's pixel on my thankyou page. I just wish I could also place it at the offers I'm promoting for a second conversion goal.

Im not gonna ask you what kind of offers youre running, but thats odd the advertiser wont place a pixel for you.

@theguvna: They're direct merchants who don't have the capability set up at this time. I wish I was doing CPA stuff instead so I could place pixels.

They dont have a thank you page of any kind? They must, if people buy or submit a lead, they must go somewhere after the transaction??? Thats the page you would put your pixel on. You can use prosper or goog pixel. Tell them to give you ftp access and if so you can make them more money

I know where to place a pixel. They're the kind of huge corporation that say we'll look into it, and never do. Or "that's just not something we do for any affiliates. Please don't ask again"
