FRAUD ALERT !!! Could use your help!

Whats up guys so i thought i would post this and see if it has happened to anyone else. One of my credit cards has been used fraudulently. This is the second time with the same card company on 2 different cards. I called the supposed company that made the transaction and it went to a call center. They wouldn't let me talk to any managers and gave me the run around about the fake charge. Said it came from this site. http://bodytoneform.com/contact-us/ ( F***** Garcinia) Then i called the number at the bottom of the site and got the exact same lady... But she played dumb of course. So i cancelled the card (again) and reported them to the card security dept. My card company said that the merchant who charged my card said the purchase was done in person somewhere in Africa. Wasn't me obviously.
The reason i'm writing this is because i only use this card for Mobile traffic sources....So The only way this number is getting out is from one these sources. I REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT WHO IT IS AND BLOW THE WHISTLE!! Unfortunately i don't know how to track them down. That leads me to you guys! Any help is greatly appreciated.

I posted this in mobile because i only run on mobile traffic sources.

How many different sources do you use? If it's not too many you could get some prepaid credit cards and use one card per company - when you see a fraudulent transaction again you'll know where the wind blows from...

Sorry for what happened.
Do you use Mac or Windows PC? Do you check it for viruses/malware regularly?
Do you ever connect to public hotspots?

Mac. They didn't get much. My credit card company is covering the charge. So no real loss. Just pisses me off.

I guess there are some shaddy "affiliates" out there who doing this way fraud leads. Would also check your computer for malware.

This looks like site especially set up for fraud.

Actually this is getting more and more common in the underground.
Bad guys buy bunch of stolen credit cards and get a shady merchant account.
Then they buy shit from themselves using stolen cards and blame "affiliates" when someone comes about the fraud charges OR that competition is trying to take them down with stolen CCs.

I knew a guy once that used like 100k stolen CCs and charged them $10 before x-mas so majority didn't notice --> 100k * $10 = 1mil

Best way to protect yourself is to control spending and get something like "Verified by Visa". Or just simply use PP or wire as others mentioned.

I have bank account which has 10 Visas attached. Then I shift money to them depends on expected spend.

Man the thing that confuses me is how the hell did they get my info? Name, address, phone number (home phone non published used for fax machine) and business cc#. This card was never stolen...never left my sight and i'm the only one who uses it. So unless there is malware on my computer that i'm not aware of on my macbook. Any suggestions to check more thoroughly? besides the " tech support offers!" lol. I would think if it was malware they could do a hell of a lot more damage with bank accts, other cards etc.. Thats what leads me to believe its one of the traffic sources or small handful of other subscriptions i have on this card.

1: install multiple AV/antimalware programs (not all at the same time) and run full system scans. Check http://www.av-test.org/en/news/news-...t-to-the-test/

Run these scans while having all your browsers open and with a site loaded in case there is some sneaky malware that injects into browsers specifically.

2: you could consider outing all your sources to see if anyone else has experienced this, though you probably don't want to do this.

3: contact your bank, explain the situation, and ask if you can get employee credit cards for each source so that, moving forward, you can both identify where the fraud comes from and report them. Bonus: you get lots of cards which may then be useful for other things.

Cool thx Zeno...Good idea on the multiple card thing! I will also try some other malware scanners.

What really surprised me when I got started and was registering on affiliate networks and traffic sources is no SSL on registration pages! WHY? it is 2015 and anything that is not passed through SSL can be stolen. I remember being asked private questions and passwords on registration page which is not secured, that is a big red flag. Unfortunately I can't remember which traffic sources or affiliate networks were those, but be aware when registering and if you put your CC anywhere make sure site has SSL, otherwise that site is not complaint and should not take CC in the 1st place.

same thing happened to me on two USD cards, right when i was on my way to ASW. bad timing!

oh well, it happens. no damage done. rarely do i pay without paypal, so it shouldnt be too difficult to narrow down

This is very concerning, do you mind listing the traffic sources you work with?

I highly doubt it's malware, as OSX is very rarely targeted with trojans, etc.

The 2 guys behind the Garcinia product (same guys own muscle, skin, etc.) that your card was charged are these guys:

Of course, they guys may or may not have direct relationships with the mobile traffic source.

For all we know, the traffic source's database may have been hacked and CC's stolen.

Interesting thx man. I run with alot of sources. Adult and mainstream. A lot of pop and redirect on this particular card...Adcash, Widget, Popads, Juicy, Exo, Reporo, Adxpansion, Traffic holder, PlugRush, and Ero just to name a few.

I don't know how they get away with this shit. Cant the authorities force them to give up the ip from the purchase? I don't even know what authorities i'm referring to here, lol. The Cyber police? I think the cc companies just don't care enough to unless its a major loss to them.
