First Youtube Ad Experiment - Gaming

Hey guys,

I use to run some PPV and now very curious how to advertise on youtube. I want to try it but not sure what types of offers or products/service AM folks are promoting on there. Are certain types of offers going to get disapproved on Youtube similar to Adwords for Search?

My current understanding for Youtube is, make a compelling video to get users to visit a email capture page for email collection from certain targeted audience.

Gaming is huge, would you guys recommend trying gaming offers? Has anyone tried AM offers in gaming?

Thanks if anyone has dabbled into Youtube. I'm curious and want to get into Youtube this year 2015!

Once I figure out how to start here or a direction, I like to share here my attempt to get something going and set some goals and meet that goal.

Gaming is definitely a good bet since these offers will be cohesive with the entertainment mode the users are in and the channels/videos they are viewing.

I think the biggest challenge will be actually generating video content that gets them engaged. You could always try advertiser mini-trailers and throw a final CTA animation in the end.

This is something i'm looking into as well. I've been using some After Effects templates from Videohive [Envato], and its pretty easy to use, I just need to throw in images into placeholders and I get a pretty good looking video. It does take a bit of time and toll on my laptop (lag), i think its easier with a desktop.

Ive even noticed youtube has live streaming now. Perhaps live streaming could be something to be explored, kind of like a webinar and people will make a mad rush to buy at the end of the video

@heyjude that is an excellent idea on webinars!

@zeno something i was thinking about too on some quick animations but content would have to be quality.
