voluum and adult traffic sources?

Hi everyone,

I am new to adult and plan to use Voluum for this.

Which adult networks should I start with? Read a bit in the forum and believed people recommended:-

traffic force, star advertising or juicyads

How to setup Voluum with any of the following traffic sources?

Any assistance on this? Thanks in advance.

Most traffic sources each has their own set of tracking tokens. These are often found in the FAQ page at the traffic source, or are shown to you while you're setting up a new campaign on the traffic source. You'll find a list of them in this thread:
http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-Source-TOKENS

Let's take Traffic Force as an example - here are its tracking tokens:
{site_id} - id of the site on whch the ad is shown
{channel_id} - id of the channel on which the ad is shown
{campaign_id} - id of the campaign
{group_id} - id of the group
{ad_id} - id of the ad
{keywords} - list of keywords by which the ad was found
{v_country} - visitor country
{v_language} - visitor language
{v_browser} - visitor browser
{v_os} - visitor operating system

To set up Traffic Force in Voluum:

1)Log into Voluum and click on "Traffic Sources" at the top, then click on "New Traffic Source" below that.

2)In the "Name" field name the traffic source (e.g. "Traffic Force"). Then click on "Advanced" to reveal all the variable fields.

3)Notice that for each custom variable, you can specify a parameter, a placeholder, and a name. There's also a checkbox in the "Track" column.

The parameter can be anything - v1 v2 v3... or 1 2 3... will do fine.

The placeholder is where you put the traffic source tokens - in our example, the ones listed above for Traffic Force.

The name can be whatever you want - just name each variable appropriately so that you know what you're looking at when you need to group/sort your data in the future.

Example: For "Custom Variable 1", "Parameter" can be "v1", "Placeholder" can be "{site_id}", and "Name" can be "SiteID". The "Track" checkbox needs to be checked if you want data to be logged for this variable.

4)After filling in all the custom variables you need to track, click "Save", and you're done setting up that traffic source.

For JuicyAds, you'll find the tokens here:
http://www.juicyads.com/faq.php#buyads_dynamiclinking

I've never used star advertising so don't have their tokens. If you can't find them on the site I'm sure a support ticket will get that sorted.

As for traffic source recommendations: As a newbie, I find Traffic Force and Traffic Junky to be good networks to start at to learn the ropes. Exoclick's another popular place because of the volume available, but I personally find their premium sites to be hit-and-miss. I'd suggest to stay away from Exoclick RON unless/until you have some kickass banners and landers with great CTR and CR, as well as a good chunk of cash you'd be willing to blow on uncovering profitable placements.

Good luck!

Amy
