LeadPages or Adobe Muse

Hello,

I hope this thread is in the good forum.

I am creating Landers now, and I have created some with the LeadPages platform.
The main issue is that there is templates, and that personalisation is not illimted.

I have also read that ugly Landers may perform better.
I am looking for those who have experience using these platforms.

I made a little Pro/cons chart:

LeadPages Pros:

Mobile responsive
Pretty templates
Leadboxes (Optin forms that pop when you click a link)
Facebook integration

Cons:

Pricing
I cannot modify them
cannot host on my own domain
Pages are deleted if you end your membership

Muse Pros:

Easy to use:
Not so pretty (more conversions based on what I've read)
Price
Unlimited modifications
I can access the pages for life

Muse cons:

Pages cannot be used for mobile
Pages can only be used as landers
the user have to host his pages

Based on your experience, what is the best tool to create landers that convert, and can also be used as squeeze page.

Neither.

Any editor will limit your options. Learn how to create them yourself from scratch using a WYSIWYG editor or hire a VA to create them.

You can also rip other landing pages and use them as "templates" to edit yourself

Does LeadPages not let you export? I really don't know those platforms well, I tend to steer clear (would much rather pay a designer in Thailand/India/Philippines to make landers than pay the same to a hosted service where I can't even download them).

Start with Muse and learn how to make landing pages - you don't need to become a master coder or designer, but you need to know how to at least mock up what you want and then export > handle it yourself or pass on to a designer.

As Charles said, you can also rip pages and improve them.

You can export the HTML files in Leadpages and upload them to your server. I do it all the time.

Do the same if you want to cancel your membership, just download the HTML files. You click on the leadpage, then select "Server" and "Download".
