Does Whitelisting Method Work on Decisive? (6)

Does Whitelisting Method Work on Decisive?

Hi,

I was running a test campaign for an app install campaign on decisive.

Which has given me a revenue of 8$ for which have spent about $90. A -91% ROI.

I wanted to go the route of whitelisting certain targets alone rather than blacklisting.

So created a separate campaign for each site i wanted to target (Was trying to implement Mr. Green's Chameleon method)

But, that is not working out.

When i try to target a specific site like

skymovies.in (SkyMovies - Entertainment News - 320x50 - Mobie Web)
whatsappmasti.com (whatsappmasti%2Ecom - Entertainment - 320x50 - Mobile Web)

It doesnt work. I am not even getting a single bid.

But, i tried with another site called "mp4mobilemovies.net". Then i started to get bids immediately.

What i find is whenever a site name is without a description to its end (in brackets) work.

For example targeting "mp4mobilemovies.net" works but "mp4mobilemovies.net (Mp4MobileMovies.Net - Movies Entertaiment Site 320x50)" doesnt work.

So, i tried a couple of other examples like "fun2desi.com " and "aplus.com". Both of these also started giving bids.

The problem is, the "Site" targeting field is not free form text and only one of the suggested option has to be selected.

Only a few sites come without any description at the end.

Is this a bug in the system?

Has anybody tried the white listing method on decisive?

Thanks
Elango

Yes, it seems like it is a bug. I have found that happens about half the time when whitelisting placements on decisive. Half the time it will work great and half the time you won't get a single bid.

Its possible on pretty much any DSP. Its possible on most all traffic sources. Look for whitelist/blacklist placements or target to include/exclude placements.

Thanks for the reply fishinseo. I understand blacklisting placements on decisive too. But whitelisting doesnt seem to work well on decisive. Is this the same case with other DSPs also as they are dependent on other traffic exchanges? or has anybody successfully run a big a whitelisted campaign.
