I'll start this off by saying I am a technical noob. So, I am getting
Here is what I have decided. I want to promote a coupon offer targeted towards a specific country. Its not rated on mywot. So, I figure this should be easy to get approved.
Now, I have read in one of the threads that I have to avoid redirection because that will result in ad getting disapproved. So, if I just ask my AM to turn redirection off, is the problem solved? or do I still have to mess around putting my own geo script?
Also, Since Ill be using facebook, the CPC will be variable. Can I pass a token so that the exact cost is tracked?
Are there any videos for setting up campaign using
1) Your AM most likely won't be able to turn geo-redirection off... in my experience with the new Cake/HasOffers platforms they can't turn off geo-redirection at the affiliate + offer level. They could turn it off for the entire offer, which IMO is fine and should be the status quo, but they might not want to.
2) You should not use a geo-redirection script, you should do it in your tracker using rules. If =/= country X then destination = clean lander, else = other lander.
3) No. Facebook has no tokens. Furthermore virtually no traffic sources can pass a dynamic cost variable. If using CPM for example it's actually complex to calculate what the 'cost' of a click is.
4) Not that I'm aware of. I'll ask.
