Considering Changing Niches. Have a couple questions...

Hello,

as the topic suggest. I'm considering changing niches. I have been doing the dating niche and was considering marketing products. Such as apps or diet. (I did quite a bit of diet and dating on Facebook). So anyhow, I can much more relate to selling a product than to dating. (I sold electronics online for quite a few years and not dating due to health) so my question is how hard is it to get into marketing of mobile apps or diet and how much money would it likely take to be successful? I'm leaning more towards apps. Just a ballpark figure would be appreciated. Sorry if I included TMI, I tried to keep it as businesslike as possible. Many thanks to everyone for reading my thread in any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: should this not be the correct thread for this question. Please relocate it. Thanks

It's not very different, if you put some effort into testing different concepts I see no issues.

The budget required generally will be much higher for diet than apps. The payouts are a lot higher so you need to spend more to gather data.

Here's a piece of advice.

Your "expertise" doesn't matter. My friend promotes health / beauty. He is a GYMRAT and knows everything there is to know about building muscle. you'd think he'd be great at the muscle vertical but he sucks balls at it. But he's a god at promoting skincare offers.

See my point? Your previous expertise doesn't always directly translate into success. There's just too many factors involved.

Back to your question. You need more money to succeed in diet. It's all about data. Dating = $5 for a conversion, Diet is like $55. With a $1,000 budget, who gets more data and learns more?

okay thanks for the feedback. Yes I realize the diet niche is more costly.. But at the same time I think you have to do something you can somewhat relate to and understand and some passion for.
