IP Ranges

I just saw a mobile phone offer and in the creatives it has IP Ranges listed... I know what IP's are... but how does that work in reference to what we do? It doesn't say that we gotta use them... it's just another file they had in the creatives section.

They can help you boost CVR rates by only targeting people under the IP range that convert. For example the offer may only be a one click flow under a certain carrier/connection type, and all of the people with that carrier/connection type have IP addresses between two certain values. Then you can go to an ad network / DSP that supports IP targeting, enter the values when you're creating your campaign, and have your banner ads displayed only to those people with that certain IP address so that you have a higher ROI. The only mobile traffic sources I know of that support IP range targeting are MobFox, DigitalFuel, and Buzzcity, but I'm sure there are others out there.

Does anybody has an advice were to get carrier IP ranges? There was on the board in the simulate carrier IPs thread a list but quite old. Everybody is very cheap to give it out

Even though this is 3 months old. Was there any literature about the ip ranges? Your best bet is to ask the affiliate manager. I am curious myself.
