I just use a normal notebook - tried Evernote but I never get around actually following up and putting all the information in there.

a normal notebook? are you able to save banners and landing pages in it?

Oh that's what you mean

For banners and LPs I just got pretty well organized folders..
The notebook is to write down all the test I'm setting up, the results, the campaigns, offers, thoughts, interesting stuff I read...

Maybe there is a better system, but for me personally even very sophisticated system never really worked out because I end up spending too much time learning and managing them. For example I tried saving all my pictures with Adobe Lightroom - but it was just too complicated and now I got them in normal folders again..

But I guess try everything and see what works best for you
(one of the most useful tools I recently got is Google Drive, use it all the time to send banner screenshots and LP screenshots from spying from phone to computer, besides a ton of other useful things you can do with it)

OneNote is pretty good but I don't do that much of this.

Something synced on all devices would be better, Evernote perhaps?

I've never found anything that does exactly what I want... a scrapbook I can copy/paste anything into that lets me organise it all into folders or categories, tag and have it all synced. Basically a visual GUI front for Dropbox or something. Let me know if you find this Shangri-la!

I should try it again... the last time I used it was probably years ago!

thanks vision!

i actually considered the option of using mindmaps and kind of liked that idea, but unsure about how i can organize everything in a chronological order...

let's say i focus on one traffic source and one vertical and constantly launch campaigns. would mindmapping be the best solution for journaling purposes? i mean all the campaigns launched on different days, targeting different GEOs...i haven't figured out a way to organize everything properly using mindmaps

the closest i've got is a setup like this: create new folders based on geo (1 folder for US, 1 for Germany etc), and within every folder, create 1 mindmap for 1 camp and dates are reflected in the filenames so mindmap files can be organized chronologically

any better suggestions would be appreciated!

I use excel spreadsheets for everything; journaling daily progress, angles etc but I dont use mindmaps.. are a lot of you using them?

We conduct a lot of tests. Its part of daily routine. All tests have a serial number and cataloged with objective and result and related notes. Creatives are kept in a dropbox folder where we follow a specific naming scheme that includes the serial # of the tests.

Keeping it simple like this and having everything in 1 place works well for my team.

Evernote and Excel for me.

Excel is one of the most underrated tools on the market. It can be wired to do just about anything.
