Outsourcing master's thesis (21)
Hi guys,
does anyone have any experience with outsourcing academic work?
I only have to finish about 40% off my MSc thesis to graduate for my MSc/MBA. But I don't want to spent any time on it. It's not high priority for me as I want to work on my own IM ventures and I'll also won't want to work for any company in the next 5+ years.
However, my parents keep harassing me (and rightly so, since they paid for a large part of the tuition) and the school still keeps writing tuition checks every month, so it's good to get this done with ASAP : )
Does someone have experience with outsourcing this?
PS. An alternative for me would to change the topic around, so that my topic will be something like: challenges for VAs in dealing with Western entrepreneurs, and then outsources that to some VAs : )
Any thoughts, ideas?
I honestly think it's a stupid idea to do.
This is one of these hard things you just have to deal with.
See it as a lesson in willpower.
You'll need a lot of willpower to succeed in your AM career too.
My thoughts: get her done. You won't be happy in the long run with a plagiarized MSc/MBA. This shit follows you forever, and it's damn sticky.
You can easily get this done in 4 weeks - less if you grind really hard. You'll actually have a sense of accomplishment when done and you can transfer that into AM.
Don't do this.

Woah woah woah, yeah man, to echo what others said... this is not something you can or should outsource. At all.
I doubt you will be able to find someone skilled enough to write your particular thesis well who would also have the lack of decorum to do so.
You will sign a written statement saying that the work is entirely yours (within reason). You may be able to outsource figure generation for any data if you believe it will increase the quality of the thesis, since figures are just presentations of your data.
If it is found or suspected that you are not the sole author you will very likely have your masters stripped from you, and that will throw away years of hard work. Your parents will be pissed. The university could very well try to recover some of the tuition fees they gave you.
If you are being paid for the study then your conscience should obligate you to put the work in here.
If you don't have the time, manage your time better.

Finished the 118-page beast last week. Interesting enough, during the month it morphed from a 'must-do' into something that was genuinely interesting to study. The end result is something I'm pretty proud of.
Just got my grade back this morning.
As of today you can now refer to me as a MSc & MBA in Business Administration.
Oh, and did I mention it's CUM LAUDE! : )
