New Traffic Source

As Affiliates, we are looking for SELF-SERVE platforms on New Traffic sources to scale our campaigns, am I correct?

What does it tell you when a Traffic Source (i.e. DivisionD) doesn't have a self-serve platform but a team of account managers to manage the inventories from their end?

First instinct is they are rebrokering traffic through a DSP.

Yep. To me at says there are multiple people who will look at and control the frontend of your campaign and you have absolutely no idea how skilled they are.

DivisionD however looks to have their own network, maybe. 10,000 pubs isn't that many but they look to have relatively unique ad formats, though these could still be brokered through another network.

Managed platforms can be a nightmare. You're basically handing off a lot of the power to them while you sit in the passenger seat, so things can go awesome <----------------------------> disaster and anywhere in between.

If you do try a managed platform make sure you aren't depositing too much and check your T&C/contract with a fine-toothed comb. You specifically want some recourse if the traffic/performance is crap so you can recover your funds and walk away.

I'd also look for feedback from others.

Thanks guys. I am just trying to sign up to some new Traffic sources so that I can scale up some Green campaigns right away. I agree that we don't want others to fondle with our campaigns on top of rebrokering, do we? Jenn, I am off to your massive list to see what's available there, thanks for posting.

LOL. I would never want anyone fondling one of my campaigns!
