Hey guys,
I have done a bit of dating offers around a year or so ago on POF and facebook. I could barely get even on fb and had a couple of profitable campaigns on POF which died down pretty quick. Having rejoined STM after this gap, I am overwhelmed on what to do. I just need you guys to point me in the right direction with regards to a few of my doubts.
My Aim
My aim at this moment is to get a couple of campaigns going anywhere which could get me $20-30 profit per day. I need this in order to scale as I have a limited budget. So, Ideally, I should be doing something which doesn't require a lot of testing and does not have a big learning curve.
My Handicap
I feel my smaller budget is a handicap and also the fact that I don't have any coding or design skills. I will try to take advantage of the free landers on STM and the how to guides that spoonfeed you.
Traffic source
Since I have done FB for a bit, I am comfortable in trying it out. I dislike POF for the fact that you spend a lot of time in finding the right campaign and it dies down very quickly. And I am not a pro in it.
I have been thinking about PPV and been suggested 50onred, Zeropark and other networks. But, I have no experience in this and hence holding back to familiar territory. Also want to try mobile traffic but again holding back due to being concerned about the learning curve.
Tracking
I need to learn tracking and there are plenty of guides on the forum. I am considering using
Offer
I am thinking of a simple email submit campaign. Targeting a quiz type ad to a specific audience and when they answer they can submit email to claim the prize. Is this something that would be allowed on facebook? I want to err on the side of caution as I don't want to get my account banned.
If you need a refresher then check out my FB guide. Quiz-type offers and most traditional email submits aren't FB-safe - they will either be red-rated on MyWoT or cause user complaints.
Just keep reading the forums. From what you are saying, you budget aint very high. So look at lower payout offers and just stick to the guides here. I agree with craigm about the mentality thing. The entire progress is a journey. Dont treat it like a gamble. Where you throw money out and expect to strike gold. Instead go for learning points everyday. The profits will come on its own. It did for me. =)
Your "Handicap" is not a problem. You don't need super designing skills to create a good banner.
I'm not good at banner designing as well but that's something I like in this business. You get used to it with the time. I just watched a few Youtube Videos and my banner skills have improved!
