Impromptu Sydney Meetup - this week (27)

Anyone else in Sydney care to meet one day between today and the 29th?

I have interest from 2 other forum members who are based in Sydney, as I will be popping up there for the new year break to catch the crazy fireworks.

I arrive there tonight, although will be seeing friends and family during my visit, I'd be keen to arrange a day/night to have a mini-meetup with any locally based STMer's.

Anyone in Sydney keen for a catch up on January 30th? I live in Brisbane and I'm flying down to Sydney to carve up the wind tunnel in Penrith, but don't need to be there until 5pm on the 30th. Could do lunch/coffee/drinks if people are interested. Would be great to meet some of the home crowd before heading over to STM London in March!

- Location is not set yet, but will be posted here as soon as we figured something out, maybe Opera bar or somewhere in Newtown (suggestions are welcome!)

Newtown would be perfect if it suits the rest of you. If it's a small group the coopers upstairs or dare I say the Zanzibar rooftop? There's also the slew of boutique bars (don't say Marys) and the bank downstairs if we want to do dinner. Friday is pretty dirty in Newtown so bring yer drinkin boots!

Newtown is good for me, as long as the venue is relatively close to the train station. I'm coming from the airport by train -- I land in Sydney at 12:45pm so 2pm should be right on time. Can't stay for dinner unfortunately, will have to head back to the airport to meet my mates just before 5:00pm.
