Is it possible to hide mobile landers from spying, and is it maybe common practice among high volume affiliates?
Everyone is spying these days, and m basic thoughts were create an average LP as the default path (everyone will spy on) and add another cloaked LP as the hidden top converting part.
I don't have much experience with cloaking, maybe something like this would be easy to realize, maybe very hard.
Maybe you could filter out the IPs of the big spying tool servers, or something like that.
I'm also asking because I've done a shitload of spying and used the stolen stuff as a benchmark. It performed worse than what I came up with, but it's hard to believe that "this it it" from what I saw during spying. I'm now 200+ hours deep into low payout app installs, and the maximum CR I could get was 3%. Then I found an article from Attila containing a screenshot for the same kind of app installs getting over 12% CR!! And it looked like DL, which performed like 1.5% for me, with and without copied banners.
And that's just the CR, has nothing to do with better payouts and all this....
Cloaking is very doable but I wouldn't waste a lot of time on it tbh.
If you aren't doing volume it's not worth it, few people will see your lander.
If you are doing huge volume all the big affs will find a way to see the real lander anyway.
Just focus on building better landers and staying one step ahead, cloaking is a battle you can never win.
I think this is a huge waste of time. Like the bbrock said, this is the 1% of 1% type of impact.
Its not actually even going to net you any income what-so-ever, just potentially protect you.
I'd focus your efforts elsewhere, that is almost definitely not the point of highest leverage for your income.

LPs are really not a competitive advantage in this point of view. Just do what others said.
However one small thing I can think of that can probably help you from appearing in spying tools such as WRW is changing your LP domains regularly and deleting old LPs from the servers.
This however cannot protect you from someone spying directly on sites/apps.
Regarding your CR -> they can use traffic source that works better with the offer and therefore the funnel is much stronger.
Also don't know which post are you referring to, but the app could be quite "saturated" - users probably downloaded and have it installed on their phones. So the CR naturally went down. When I released pushing a new offer just few hours after it was started I was able to get 10% and up CR as well, with some older offers of the same kind I am happy to get 4-5%.
Though there could be many variables.

Would you recommend trying different traffic sources which might fit better, or completely focusing on one and just trying to find the right offers for that traffic source?
I personally prefer mastering one traffic source first. But before I master it I try a couple of them, so I can have some general idea what works where.
(focus on one source at 80%, experiment/test new ones at 20%)
All sources have different inventories, different targeting/filtering options, somewhere one country is stronger than another etc.
There is only one thing I can really recommend to you and that is TEST as much as you can. It sounds like a cliché, but this is how it works. Over the time you will gain some experience and will start seeing the bigger picture -> what works where.
But testing is something that should become second nature to you.
