How to Target Mobile Wifi and 3G Using Popads?

Hi guys, I'm trying out mobile popunder using Popads.net as my traffic source. However I don't know how to target mobile phone or tablet using Popads interface (are there even such targeting on Popads?) or to target wifi traffic and carrier traffic like how you would target with display traffic.

Can anyone with experience in Popads enlighten me a bit?

Very simple
For 3g/wifi go to the connection tab and select cellular if you want 3g only or all if you want all. For device go to the environment tab and choose operating system and browsers. Generally speaking mobile content offers convert well on 3g traffic, wifi is for the most part a lot harder to convert. You can target all traffic and segment and redirect 3g to one offer and wifi to another (app install, landing page, other monitezation service e.g bitter strawberry,YTZ international )
Hope that helps

Thanks orisin1, so if I want to target mobile wifi I would choose Android as my environment targeting and everything else EXCEPT cellular as my connection type targeting right?

I would probably not do that for app installs.

Go ahead and test, but I'd say that the loss in volume from doing so will be too large to justify the increase in conversion ratios (if any) from blocking carrier traffic on app installs.

I would +1 Orisin on his suggestion to redirect the nonconverting clicks elsewhere. Maybe sell them to another pop source if you can.

If you can take the broader traffic and better monetise it on the back end, IMO this is a better system then trying to micro-optimise on the front end and reducing volume.

Volume can boost leverage, cashflow etc. and if you can get crafty with monetising heterogeneous traffic it will come in handy when dealing with traffic sources that have less in the way of targeting (which also turns away more affiliates).

Hi everyone,

Like to check.

For this

other monitezation service e.g bitter strawberry
So do I apply as publisher in bitter strawberry?

If my campaign is based in US, I can monetize non US traffic with this way?

Bitter Strawberry is doing a good job montizing mobile traffic, but keep in mind it is mainly adult. If you use their link for your untargeted traffic it will redirect based on GEO,Device and best offer under those parameters. A lot of cpa networks these days also have an offer wall with different app installs so that can also be an option for you.
